i decided to sort the coilovers out they have had 4 years of hard use and are looking a bit sorry for them selves so i thought i would give them a little clean up make them last till i get a bit of money together to get a decent set of gaz all the paint was stuff i had laying around the workshop
whilst i was at it i thought i would give the rear end a bit of a clean up and get some under body seal on it too (no pics as its just the usual black stuff)

i work as a mechanic so any seats i buy get covered in muck i dont do the driving round with seat covers on but im considering a cheap set of buckets for track days then turn it back into a road car through the week the harness is fully ditachable so its easy to go from road to track

cleaned my k&n and measured it up to a standard filter and was a little worried when the standard filter has more surface area and the k&n ones suppose to have larger surface area and better flow
also i blew the blood doors off (well just the trim) after a spirited driving session

going to be changing the oil shortly though as i will be buying an oil cooler just in time for ford fair also parts will be arriving this week for me to start my induction manifold set up

I must admit, when i saw the first pictures with those lights I thought "Here we go, another shitbox!" But credit where it's due, fantastic job so far mate, look's really tidy and the colour is a nice change!
As most others would agree, get some standard facelift lights and that would set it off a treat.
Thought about a 2.0ltr Zetec? Would be a great little car for the track then, bags more torque than the 1.6.

Ben.

Ben.
main reason i put the 1.6 in it was i had a 1.7 puma engined mk4 track car running cbr600 throttle bodies 4-1 mani straight through exhaust system this one

so i thought i would just put a cheap engine in my road car cost me 100 quid for the engine and i fitted it in in an afternoon after i finished building a customers car
most of the parts on the engine i have been getting dirt cheap to free so thought its worth keeping it
i have been thinking about changing the lights on the front to the facelifts for a while but just waiting for a set to come up cheap or free lol

thank you there will be a bit more to come soon i will be building an inlet manifold for the big throttle bodie
