I've not been on this site for about 5 years, i was waiting for a visa in Malaysia, i killed time by looking through your entire thread..great work, especially for being outside under a sheet!!, (re zincing the nuts and bolts makes all the difference)...its made me want to do mine when i return to the UK, I've got 2 1/2 of these bad boys stashed away under sheets the last 6 years. my plans have changed and was thinking to sell them as is , but after seeing your thread I'm quite keen to to do similar to 1 of them...mostly standard just made new, can i ask, without the engine, brake and personal mods you've done would you have got your money back from doing the other work, i.e. powder coating, re zincing, paint, bushes, hoses, and cosmetic stuff, no parts? I'm not up to date with the prices any more, guess i will have a look through some sites. thanks

thanks for your comments, the way the car stands now I will get the money back ive put into it
the car would be valued more if it was standard, but I don't do standard.
I must admit I wouldn't want to do it again, its been a lot of stress and hard work, and money of course, and im not finished yet.
hope all goes well with yours good luck with it,

spent a couple of hours on it tonight just to clean the wheels and underside, still needs a hoover out and a little time spent under the bonnet but it's pretty much ready to go.

Jeff I've said it before I know but this 3dr is absolutely stunning. Even the new wheel colour has made it better and I didn't think that would be possible. Well done.

well done nearly 2 thousand miles so far this year and have loved it.
but the tinkering has started again, getting a bit fed up with polishing the alloy under the bonnet so pulled off the swirl pot and power steering fluid reservoir to be powder coated.
only doing these two as these are the hardest to keep clean.

I wasn't too keen on mine when I fitted some black bits, swirl pot, header tank, pas bottle and breather but it matches in well with the muck![Red Faced](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_redface.gif)

It'll be a bit more complete with the header tank fitted, any thoughts on doing the strut brace black as well??
