Thanks guys.......Im having a bit of an issue with the rear brakes, im thinking of having a rear disc conversion, but it may nullify the car if i am trying to make it concourse spec, so i may have to get some shit old drums in there. Any ideas???

Could go modified concours. Gives you more scope on the rebuild if you wanted braided hosing, silicon hosing, colour-coded bits if you wanted to.

Ive already got braided hosing and full silicon hosing for the car, (in plain blue, no silly labels). There are a few selected parts are powder coated blue, which is the theme of the car. I will get some more pics of these when i can, should start coming together soon....

Well behind on the project, taking ALOT longer that expected....
However as im new to the ford scene, i was told to expect the unexpected...
I recently sanded down my rusty old fuel tank, using a power drill and wire brush abrasive drill bit (took 2 hours and left me with shaky hands for a few days!)
Coated with 5 coats of hammerite heavy duty metal paint in artic white...

Also got my hands on the adonized collins dump valve, any feedback on this product? i was told that it sounds more aggresive than others such as baileys, however what about performance wise? Was thinking about a re-circulating valve although not 100% on differences....

Unhappy Update 29/08/10

Hi just another update...

ITS ON WHEELSSSS

finally got it rolling with all the subframe on

booked it in with my mechanic to put the running gear together and working....

radiator + intercooler are mounted as well as fuel tank and twin pumps...
ap racing 4 paddle clutch and s2 flywheel put together...
uprated gaskets all around....

cant wait for it to be done but more and more problems keep occuring

just discovered the block is out of an xr3 so there is no oil pipe for the turbo at the bottom =( been advised to get a new one so there some more ££ gone to get it re bored + fitted....engine was just put together so gaskets will have to be changed again....

im starting to understand what my mates were saying about fast fords being a cash drain!!

next updates coming soon...
