Started getting the engine and box in while the boys were doing the fuel tank
Engine off stand and onto the crane.
Empty engine bay soon to be filled.
Flywheel cleaned up and on,
Clutch on,
Gearbox test fitted.
Meanwhile the boys had fitted the tank,
And they measured everything perfectly months ago!!!
Right, I was going to take a pic of it when it was in the bay but I thought Ill leave that till the end once its sitting right and I forgot! Sorry.
Well heres one from under looking at the clutch,
And we managed to get the Diff in and the gearbox, forgot to get a pic of that too! Oops
Tomorrow I will get the pics, and we are going to sort out a couple of other wee bits. Fitting a new bonnet and hopefully the bumpers, brakes and front driveshafts if theres time.

looking good but i must say you have done the last bit the hard way when doing a 4x4 cosworth its best to put the box / motor / shafts / diff / all togever on the front beam then put the hole car over it all in one go job done . shame you have to go off to work again now that your so in to it

Yeah thats the way i would have done it at home mate but this was a favour in a working garage Aly and the boys have paying customers that are coming in so if they needed the ramp we could get it off without to much hassle.

Gearbox mounted with the new mount, prop fitted too.
The view from the top!
Spent a wee bit of time sorting the suspension ride height out. Think it looks excellent myself, might have difficulty getting over the speed bumps outside the house.
Refurbished the front driveshafts and fitted them. No pics though!
Boys were busy today with other cars so didn’t manage to get the tank finished but took some more underside pics.
And some more of the top, just for the hell of it!
And my favourite!

cheers guys
Thats the plan guys, want it to look as factory as possible, just not sure what colour to do the strut brace in, white or crackle black?
Had a feeling you might see this tonight, how you doing mate, getting there, been a long process but its getting close now, pity i am going away in a few days! will hopefully have it running next time home.
The Rs7's are going to be going on mate, the new ones i got, they are honestly mint! was going to get the ones on above done the same sort of colour as the powder coat on the brackets, sort of mercury grey colour cos i really like them too.
thanks guys, makes me smile everytime i stop and look in the engine bay.
yes mine is a 4x4 shell that we cut for the project, if i am following you right the gearbox wont fit, it just need a small section cut out on the drivers side of the transmission tunnel and it will fit. Get a build thread up and let us see it.

you might find that the gearbox mount wont fit in the 2wd gearbox tunnel as the mounts are in a different position
also make sure you check for clearence on the front chassis legs for the front drive shafts
