mk2 fiesta sleeper
thought i'd post up my project i'm doing see what people think,
well i brought the car the start of feb and thought id had the deal of a life time was taken out for a spin in it by the chap who was buying it off, ran like a dream, didnt miss a beat.
anyway got it home found a few things that needed doing to it but nothing major.
then a week after was cruising down the motorway at 90 and heard an massive bang and smoke pouring out the exhaust got recovered home striped the engine down
and discovered that i blown a nice hole in the side of a piston, then discovered the chap who i brought it off had used 3 different pistons in the block for some reason.
so sourced another bottom end off a chap in tamworth, took a few weeks rebuild it due to the weather, blowning a CV joint and snapping the clutch cable
when got it back on the road did the running in stage and was running sweet again but then discovered the bloke had done a home rebuild on the turbo and the bearings blew on the turbo
so now ive decided cut my loses and do a full rebuild from chassis up and get the car how i want it and know everything has been done to how i would like.
well here few pics i shall keep you up dated as the project continues

well after gutted the car discovered was a bit rotten so replaced a fair few panel, two new rear wings, two new front wings, new slam panel, new sills also fill smoothed the engine bay out and the interior as well so all looks neat and tidy,
[/IMG]
well over xmas my mate managed fit the car in to his work to get it paid and these are the results
well since it been painted all ive done is strip the suspension off and rear axle and then lost interest in it but slowly getting all my parts togther to rebuild it hopefully for classic ford.
peoples ideas and thoughts are welcome cheers jp

I have do admit I grew up with full electronic ignition, converted my XR2 to MFI and later to full mappable electronic ignition, but every time I see a TT conversion I think about building something different...

Yes you did know, as we agreed to go up there together when you brought it, as i wanted to get my parts off it, or my money.
Then you lie'd to me, and said your not buying it, then brought it, alot cheaper.
