This is what came out in the oil, not as bad as expected
And......we finally got to discover what clutch has taken the grief over the past 6 years of my ownership, has put up with an MSD 380 conversion for 3 years and countless santa pod runs, not to mention random launch's here and there, our bet was a 4 paddle with std pressure plate.............
Bog standard motorcraft item! Who says you need an uprated clutch over 330?
engine bay had a spruce too
And, i am kind of set on RWDing it now too.......hmmmm?
Of course he did, he's a proper salesman that one. If i wasn't emptying every nook, cranny, bank account and wallet to buy that engine id probably of bought alot more stuff!

hmm, can i drive...........we'll soon find out i guess.............!
Going from your old set up to +500hp and loosing 50% drive is going to be a learning curve, you'll have fun though
Yep, thats the one.
a t5 would put up a better fight, wouldn't it!
T5s are funny boxes too Dan tbh, like the Diff, some go with stage 3 power, some last with 400-450lb/ft, i'd not be worried with a GT30 etc on a T5 tbh, aslong as it's healthy in the first place, again diff will be fine if not launched..
Thats the same set up i have lol it will be very fast! plus you will do a t5 in time and a standard diff will not last long at all if driven hard!. But good work and nice car!
Yeah, i realize a T5 and std 7.5 won't last too long, but they will last longer than the plastic 4x4 stuff!
Hopefully until next winter when i will buy some decent transmission bits

My box is rebuilt and very strong - the diff on the other hand isn't going to last after the abuse it took last year
You'll be surprised how much pain they can take
So whats the plan, go 2wd for now then revert back to 4x4 with proper gear next year? or just stay 2wd
my rebuilt std t5 that had done about 500 miles stripped 3rd gear on my first outing after mark mapped mine on autronics. the new one seems fine though now a big tooth box and sounds awsome....
RWD saphs are soooooo much nicer than the agricultural 4x4's to drive.
Just a right handfull, esp the power you will be running!!!!
Just keep your foot up if you use it in the damp, mine was 406bhp/428lb ft and on a damp road at 100mph in 4th gear it would put you sideways if you gave it a big right foot full.
