Yeah, they are 137's Mark, genuine bosch ones. I Think there was an issue with a poor earth somewhere to be honest, they are on an MSD heat sink bracket, it was getting VERY hot, i re earthed them and they seem to be a lot cooler, and they haven't failed again.
Just the alternator thats fucked now!

Wrap the exhaust there and use a heat shield for the alt, Many years ago Rod went through 5 in one year till it was coverd.

It's got a shield on the alternator, and the manifold and downpipe are wrapped, it doesn't seem to get too hot, there's no sign of heat on the alternator, i'm not driving it hard for long periods of time, just a quick squirt here and there. It's only 2 weeks old, must of been a crap one.
Thanks for the input though Mark

Yeah mate, still alive. Spent the summer enjoying it, it's an animal to be fair. Can't comment too much on antic's I partook in, but lets say some 2 wheeled power rangers where surprised by it.

Decided to fit a swirl pot, was suffering from starvation a little when it had under half a tank and was getting driven, and we all know starvation is bad..... I also wanted to run an6 return line, as it was still on the standard ford one, so made sense to do it all at once.
My mate is starting up on his own doing alloy welding and fab, so got him to knock me up a 2ltr swirl pot with an6 fittings (an10 outlet), not the shiniest, but, as we know, i don't do bling!
Loads more torque's fittings bought, no pic though.
Bulkhead fittings in wheel well.... (couldn't be bothered removing the deadening)
With the new 044 and mostly plumbed.......
Need another 6m of hose now!

Cheap shit lol it never ever did it with the genuine plastic swirl pot ford tank lol
But I still have it so ill get that modded and painted then re fit it

Thank you sir!
Fuel system is all sorted, started first time, only 1 leak too which was just a fitting that needed tightening a tad more. It's killed another battery, the optima yellow top has bitten it this time, so i bought a new Bosch 017 silvertop that i think is designed to start battleships! Let's see how that hold out.......
Need to sort the alternator out, and it's meant to be going for MOT on Tuesday, but.......

Had a bit of a clean today, alternator now working properly, prop bearing done, new braided Matt Lewis brake hoses throughout and had a service, it's running beautifully at the moment i must say, going very well and behaving itself!

Looking good dan, apart from the half painted calipers.........
I would be keeping an eye on that pass side chassis leg just infront of spring seat, both my saphs required welding there, and looks wet and rusty on yours?

Seem to remember its double skinned, so get some nice thin and runny cavity wax in there once its welded up.
Don't use waxoyl, too thick, get some dinitrol or bilt hamber stuff.
