If you mean a pull of the handbrake cuts it to 2wd then that has been mentioned and should, in theory, be simple as it needs pressure from the pump to make it 4wd, therefore cut the pump power and voila you should have 2wd......I think?

A lot of yanks use adapter plates in conversions,
Would you not loose the output shaft into the spigot bearing?
As you say 10mm isn't a lot but strong enough to bolt to/through
I could get a plate water cut easily enough, but what material? Mild steel what suffice or stainless as it's only an itermediate plate?

shaft is 10mm longer marc
steel is fine and plenty strong enough

The adapter plate would add more weight but would make the conversion more accessible and marketable; although it does sound like the boxes might need an overhall and then you are starting to get closer to the price of a standard ratio oppliger gear kit all built up.

This torque split controller is what you want really as well I guess to fully control the box

yes mate you are wrong all you need is this full race ets control system its a full stand alone system that doesn't need any of the original Nissan stuff except the attessa control unit which you need anyways to control the clutches.
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...fuTGYugX5Fqd9g
fully automated control just like in a gtr via g sensor.
or customizable map via usb interface.
it perfect imo, as full auto will be fine for 90% of people, then its mappable if so required and also manual gain knob aswell for manual control.
if I hadn't bought the r35 my r33 was getting the ets pro and an uprated rear diff.

that is no good as its integrated into the Nissan systems aswell, full race ets pro is full stand alone and not that expensive imo.

Agreed, if the adapter is done then the rest should be simple to build up as a kit?

If I was in that business it would not take my team long, no!
The centre push kit is on the shelf at reyland so not hard to add as a buy from here or build similar, bearings and spigot would be a trial an error and prop shafts might be an adapter one end and a measure up and machine the other.
To be honest I do not think the whole thing is that hard if you have the parts and machinery that's the hard and expensive bit?

Agreed, fair price and a lot cheaper than alternatives and easier to buy in chunks, this kit one month, box the next etc....
You can then add the controller of your choice.
To me it would be an alternative to the £5k option I am looking at and if you get the 2wd and 4wd options that would be a plus point. If you break a box the replacement would be peanuts.

My team are all about large scale volume finance, not engineering. If I was in fabrication and engineering I would assemble a team of engineers.
You are right the hard work is the mock up and working it all out, after that the kit is simple, nothing that cannot be done. If I handed you technical drawing and a cad program then it is simple that is my point and there are enough cossie buyers out there to buy the kits. So many threads on here are about broken 4x4 gearboxes, converting to 2 wd and putting off the big purchase or the noise of straight cut big tooth boxes I think that the more bolt on the solution the more YOU could sell.
I do have some experience of fabricated parts but once we solved the problems it was very simple to replicate and multiply.
