Wink RS2000 Van

She is looking a little tired these days so I thought it's time for a little tlc. This is my second Escort Van and I got to admit, I love em !. Sadly though, they seem to slow down when going up hills, and thats when they are unladen !

Anyway enough said, this is my little van !

It has more problems than I can count ranging from, leaking fluids (all of them from everywhere) minor rust has set about eating the bodywork and to boot it wrote off a BMW the other day. Hardly a mark on the old girl but that was it. Off the road now and thanks to JD Motorsport the rebuild has started. I got this little beauty by courier the other day !

Haven't heard her running yet but I am assured all is well. I started stripping out the engine bay and dash today. Didn't do too bad but had to go to work so didn't get to finish completely.

I have had loads of new parts over the past couple of days as well as stripping alot of stuff ready for sandblasting and powder coating. I will wack some pictures up over the next couple of days...... It should be fun ! Got some goodies on order from Burton Power too. Once she is back up and running it will be straight to Kustom Kolors for a lick of paint and the jobs a racer !

There is a loom that plugs in on the N/S (nats) and runs behind the dash to plug in over near the Steering colum (Transponder) About 6 wires all Black coloured.

Fuel pump wiring is on the same loom as the rear lights etc...

Default Loom

Adie, I did get the loom and ECU from JD along with the full conversion kit. To be honest I haven't had chance to go through it yet but hopefully RST would have answered your question. If not get back to me. RST you have kinda set this build in motion. I have been watching you do yours and I am impressed so I am following suit ! Cheers guys. Chris

Just a few bits that arrived over last few days.

I know I am still short of loads of little bits. I am considering buying a doner escort and stripping the bits I need. I want the full aircon package with electric windows and mirrors. The diesel engine will be out by midday tomorrow and the egr will be welded up on exhaust manifold tomorrow night. All for now....
