just trying to sort out getting the hubs redrilled to 5x114(to suit the new wheels).a local engineering shop will sort, no problem.just waiting for stuff to come so i can carry on.more soon

got a bit done today,made some inner sill plates from 2.5mm sheet to strengthen this section to take the new chassie rails.will post some pics tomorrow.

right heres a few more pics so far.bearing in mind that the beam has been moved up 2" to allow for the larger diameter wheels so the car still sits low.the frame is made from rollcage tubing and will be braced up later.

still haven't got the hang of loading pics.still there on here.the templates are for mounting the beam and bracing the tubes to the sills.the boot floor and the new wheel tubes will add further strength.

should get the lazor cut strengthening and beam mouting plates back friday.will not get much done this weekend as down at the auto sport show on sunday at the nec.

yep beefy im cool with that,i tend to build stuff a little on the mad side.not evey ones cup of tea but each to there own as they say.were on the forum could i post some of my old rides.

thats the look im after,just how the old hot rods used to look but with out the jacked up arse end.i want it nice and low with all the tyres tuck up in the arches but still be able to use it evey day.

it look's like it's going to look cool, dont get me wrong, but it just seem's like alot of hassel for little, if any gain, surly it would make sense to put a nice v8 and rwd gear in there to go with the drag (sort of) look...

yes i know it seams a lot of work for little gain but it will look cool as fxxk.its about doing something a little different.plus its an every day car and a v8 would cost a fortune to run.(i do have a v8 but thats for another project )

as the plates have not arrived for the chassie i have started on the mods to the body.started to shrink the number plate recess.it will now take a 9"x7" plate instead of the normal long plate.got a 300c rear boot spoiler,just got to smooth all the holes and get rid of the wiper.will post some pics tomorrow.heres a few more pics of the van.this was my first attemped at airbrushing,got a bit carried away.

got the bootlid done over the weekend,resized number plate recess,debadged and all the spoiler holes welded up..also started the bonnet and a pic of the boot spioler i have for sale.

sorted out what im doing with the bonnet ,had a bit of a cutting session tonight.will have to move the bonnet catch or use a different one will sort that out after.post pics tomorrow.

cheers,still waiting for the lazor cuts.mate at work is doing them ,so has to fit inbetween work stuff.its ok though is meant i can get some of the mods complete.
