Ok am sorted now I think.

Over the last few month ave been sourcing parts to put this box in including a mondeo witch the box cables and shafts came from. After putting the box in to mark up for the hole in the chassis leg we dropped the box out to sort the leg out

That inner wing looks spot on, when I eventually go for mtx I'm gonna have to strip the bay and hopefully have the car recovered to crazycage for him to weld all the mounts in etc then with a bit of luck have the bay repainted before reassemble in a single car garage.

Wouldn't say need but its never been done from new, so perhaps a good time if engine and box is out again.

Is your speedo still gonna be cable driven?

Yes the car the box came from didn't have a cable but still used a drive that the pick up ran off. I just took the pick up sencer off that the wires come out of and that leaves the drive like the sandard rs box has so you can screw your cable on.

Seems to drive well apart from the clutch being harsh when sitting in traffic.

But it did well against a Ferrari the other night lol

Well alittle bit of a update. The box is doing well drives a lot better with this box in only problem we've had with it is the bottom mountain started to ripe off.

<a href="http://s382.photobucket.com/user/littlebram1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/0A376561-8828-49F7-ACF0-06733DAD72E9_zps5zd1cers.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo264/littlebram1/Mobile%20Uploads/0A376561-8828-49F7-ACF0-06733DAD72E9_zps5zd1cers.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 0A376561-8828-49F7-ACF0-06733DAD72E9_zps5zd1cers.jpg"/></a>

So after sorting that and making it abit stronger we booked a long weekend up Scotland. First up was a day at Sitech and things started well with the new boost controller first run on the rollers showed 376bhp but alittle lean so I was feeling hopeful on making good power but then the miss fire started and after new plugs we just couldn't sort it and the day was ending so we settled for 330 again but was running safe. The next day we where booked in for our first track day witch would be a big learning curve for us.

All cleaned for the weekend
<a href="http://s382.photobucket.com/user/littlebram1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/04F2BF98-257E-4487-B4B5-5A613F3CAE06_zpsaqembbvm.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo264/littlebram1/Mobile%20Uploads/04F2BF98-257E-4487-B4B5-5A613F3CAE06_zpsaqembbvm.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 04F2BF98-257E-4487-B4B5-5A613F3CAE06_zpsaqembbvm.jpg"/></a>

<a href="http://s382.photobucket.com/user/littlebram1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/02248390-60C5-4329-9CBE-54E15173FDAF_zpsfspv4w5s.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo264/littlebram1/Mobile%20Uploads/02248390-60C5-4329-9CBE-54E15173FDAF_zpsfspv4w5s.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 02248390-60C5-4329-9CBE-54E15173FDAF_zpsfspv4w5s.jpg"/></a>

We arrived at knockhill and went out on our first session and although the car was fast we quickly found out that the suspension was not up to the job
<a href="http://s382.photobucket.com/user/littlebram1/media/Mobile%20Uploads/F63CBD8E-5A3F-4891-9ECB-3899835D056E_zpshhcmynp9.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i382.photobucket.com/albums/oo264/littlebram1/Mobile%20Uploads/F63CBD8E-5A3F-4891-9ECB-3899835D056E_zpshhcmynp9.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo F63CBD8E-5A3F-4891-9ECB-3899835D056E_zpshhcmynp9.jpg"/></a>

But then at the end of the first session it start to knock badly so in the pits after tea we looked over but there was nothing we could do so we call it a day and headed home.
The car drove the 250 miles home only knocking if the boost came in.
We got home and stripped it down and found no1 rod was damaged along with the crank and we put it down to oil surge.
Some pictures of the damage

Good man, I hope it will come out this year but I've got a few other projects on too which is slowing me down. Next step is to mock up a new loom for new ecu then go form there.

Yeah was a shame. I had a 1.8 zetec sump on and they are pretty shit. I took it to get baffled from I rally company but I don't like the look of it so going to fit the later black top sump what has one in standard.

Here is the 1.8 sump I got baffled

This has been brought up recently by someone else. Are the 1.6/1.8 Zetec sumps no good then, I was always told they worked well.

Haha, yes, I might get to see it my self too

It will be on the new GEN8 when its out with some other goodies ALS and Launch etc just to make sure my gearbox dies extra fast and the car goes off the road for another 5 years until I have time to fix it lol.

Probably me lol. Well mine hasn't caused any problems for the last 6 years or so with runs at York raceway as well and it doesn't get a easy life but get well look after. However this was my first track day and with no baffles in them sumps it ment the end of my rod.

Sounds good and that's like me never got time. You going to see how much your engine will do or just safe and nice?

I'll see how carried away I get mate. If im stupid I will buy a CNC head, get a cam made to my spec and change the turbo to something else (not sure what yet), I made a touch over 300 BHP on a customers car recently with a similar spec to what I would probably go for (He was using a TT Stage 3 T3... what ever that truly means in reality).

Although what ever it makes the boost will be capped to limit bhp to 270bhp because the number plate starts with E270 and im stupid like that lol, but the fringe benefit will be a gearbox that lasts for a little longer.

I also prefer capping peak power on CVH's as the torque curve stays flatter and they feel (to me) slightly more fun to drive with out that running out of puff above 5K sensation a lot of CVH based RST's have.

The other option is a CVH34 from kent and a TD04 of some description for a cheapish but nice to drive 260ish bhp

What are your next plans after the bottom end is sorted? Just drive and enjoy or something else?

Haha can't believe you are going to match the bhp to the reg. Yeah I'll always be changing things but just try and get some more track day out of it. It could do with getting painted but don't think I'll get it done yet.
