Well abit of a update on the car as am hoping its going to come out soon so i best sort some bits it needs. Ive been making a new down pipe because when i fitted the turbo the down pipe had to be cut and moved abit to get it to fit but it was hitting the starter motor and was'nt a good job really. So thought i would make a new 3" down pipe.

Also made a new alt heatsheld (Not finished)

got some more jobs i want doing then it should be back out and ready for a check up on the rollers up sitech.

No mate havent had the money to get it done yet and the money i did have i thought was best spent on bits that needed doing like new brakes. I think there is a little more to come out of the engine the way it is with abit more time mapping. The head will be getting done tho.

Got some more work done. stripped the front down cleaned the hubs and fitted new bearings and fitted some new brakes because i only had standard brakes on and they where finding it abit hard to stop the car

Also ive been having some problems with the coolant/ the engine getting to hot and air locks in the system, so i got a new thermostat housing, so has the float to sort the air locks out and new thermostat. Ive also move my water temperature sensor beacause where it was it was melting and was to close to my exhaust manifold.

ive got alittle more to put on later
am getting there tho

Ok a few more jobs done when i fitted the turbo the actuator rod was bent at the end to get it to fit to the turbo but i did'nt like the way it was and to me it would'nt work as good as it could. So i got a longer rod and made a new braket. I also fitted a bung to my down pipe for my afr sencer and wraped it too.

Well after getting that bit work done i took it to ford fair and out a few times after but then the car started to smoke bad but when driving it would but ok. So after doing the normal checks and finding nothing we pulled the head off to see what was happening. Ill let the pictures show what we found.

So you can see that the bronce valve guides are badly worn so am putting this down to the smoking. I did'nt think these would wear as fast as they have. Am ordering some more to get the car up and running for next year.

Now after getting the head on the car still smoke badly but when driving the car was ok so off come the turbo and off to cr it went. Got a call for them saying it was dead but they could sort me a garrett t38 instead of the turbo technics t38 so I was happy with that.

and the new one on just in time for York race way but my boost controller started playing up so I had to put a bleed valve in to set the boost but could only go to 20psi instead of the 26 I normally run so was down on power.

had a good day out at York and was the first time I had ran the car and didn't really sort the car for the day so was on road tyres (Pirelli p6000) but I give it a go anyway. I did 4 runs
1st 14.7
2nd 14.3
3rd 14.1
and 4th 13.9
just couldn't stop the car from wheel spinning till I got to the end of third gear but was good day anyway

Still having a lot of problems with how hot the car is getting and the pressure is the system. When I got back thought id try some waterless coolant.

The car still runs hot all the time and very hot when sitting in traffic but now with this in there is no pressure at all in the system so am very happy with that but going to try some ideas to get the temp down

Yeah Glenn when I was at York wait to go on the strip with the temp high there was loads of pressure in the system but when I changed to waterless coolant at the same temp these no pressure at all. Good stuff mate.
