any pics of the ultra low trailer, sounds interesting.
a sharp steel bar on the very lower edge of the rear wheel arch liners will cut and break up dog ears from the tyres and save the back bumper from being destroyed, worked well on mine..

No forged parts. The Skogen Racing guys manage 400BHP without so I'll give that a go too!
Yeah ultra low loading trailer should be ace. Not seen it yet as it's not yet ready... should be within a few weeks though
That bumper has seen every type of abuse.... from wall rubbing to delamination, to just being ripped off on tyre walls

Last weekend wasn't the best for the Saph at Round 1 of the British Drift Championship at Donnington....
The track was set up for very high speed drifting which wasn't ideal for the likes of myself with only 200BHP. (most competitors run over 300BHP, some up to 800BHP!). So it was a patchy performance from myself.... then I crashed!
Basically tried to extend the slide to meet the end of the very long sweeping corner but it gripped and shot me off the track!
Smacked a pole pretty hard, but thankfully just missed the chassis, so it's just panels to be replaced and the inner wing to get pulled out. Round 2 is at Norfolk arena on the 20th of May... time to get busy!!!
Parts I now need to find:
O/S wing
O/S headlight
O/S amber indicator
Strut brace
Plastic trim that sits under the headlights
Laguna or Espace front splitter
Cossie grille
Cossie sideskirts
Front upper slam panel
Someone to paint the new panels black!
Rear bumper (possibly sourced)
O/S door & mirror (possibly sourced)
Saph Bonnet (possibly sourced)
Cossie bumper now sourced
Some pix of the weekend's skids and smashes....
Full report here: http://www.drifted.com/jordan-butter...1-part-i/7741/

Now dropped off McMillan Jaguar to get straightened out and tarted up!
Fingers crossed for the BDC round 2 at Norfolk in less than 3 weeks!
All sorts of talk of throttle bodies going on on the BOA, and even a supercharged Jag V8 conversion.... but I think we'll just stick to getting it driving again for now!
Sure a lot of you know them, but for those who don't they are the Jag & Ford specialists to know for building and breaking... and the main man Aly has quite an awesome collection too including touring cars and some mental YB powered track machines.....

4.0 32v supercharged V8 with 400BHP as standard.... Want!

Very lucky the damage wasn't too bad, I say that but ye it was bad but could of been a written off shell which is what u don't need with so many other projects, least it's an easy enough fix good luck getting it ready for the next round

Sierra rebuild is coming along very nicely, Aly's donor car is ideal being a BOA converted Cossie.... now just looking for a few parts:
Sapphire Cosworth Sideskirts (Aly's car was missing them)
Laguna or Espace (or a cheap Rouse/RS500 style) front splitter
O/S front orange indicator

Aly's donor Cossie might look like a heap from this angle, but in the important areas has a real solid straight shell, and coincidentally also has been converted to run a 24v BOA, so ideal for parts. Just to add to that it very randomly it apparently used to belong to David Beckham many years ago too,
Donor section being pieced in after some careful cutting and measuring, all fitting perfectly too.

Got Cossie skirts and a new front splitter for it there, just need an indicator and everything's all there

Becoming a car again! Going to look like before but tidier and better.... Non-wrecked bumpers, vented bonnet and sideskirts. Plus fresh paint and stickers should help too...

Haha, yeah would be cool! 400BHP as standard with restrictive breathing and low boost... sure the power could be upped to crazy levels!
But for now I'll be happy with it just being drivable!

Probably been taking this sticker a bit too much to heart going by this pile of broken bits....

Here's the missing bit of the rebuild story, the night it was finished! (also the night before Norfolk!) .... Big thanks to Aly and Craig at MJ Racing.
An awesome job sorted right on time!
Looking sweet in the arena. Now with a decent front bumper, Blue oval grille, Cossie sideskirts, 4x4 vented bonnet, new rear bumper and my fave mod.... Genuine 80s German pressed dealer plate as donated to me when I was in ze Fatherland!
Doin' some skids.... (Thanks to Kyle and Jeek for the pix)

There's a lot more of being in front of Jap crap planned! Especially as its going to get some geometry mods before the next round. Granada hubs redrilled for extra lock and a compression strut kit for extra castor. Got to make it more nimble....
Bram, you ain't wrong there!
Also if anyone wants a passenger ride the Saph will be at the Classic Ford show next Sunday doing drift taxi rides all day

Progress! I had Chizfab on the case of fitting a set of Rally Design compression struts and adjustable TCAs to the Sierra during the week, then a quick setup thanks to Pete (at Kwik Fit of all places!) to the figures supplied by Hungarian drift guru LeslieDG.
First test today at an SXOC big track Crail day went very well.... much more front end grip and faster self centering on the steering. The car didn't even feel like the same Sierra I had out the week before at Teesside! Much snappier, and the understeer I'd got so used to driving around has completely gone.
Was also managing to get use of more lock thanks to the more responsive steering, so I'm guessing that's where a lot of the extra smoke came from today!
Compression strut and adjustable TCA
Pre-setup comedy camber!
Bouncing over kerbs at Teesside last week...
Will get some pix from today soon...
