Project/Restoration Mk1 Golf GTi (Update 20/09)
I know its not a ford but due to using the escort everyday i cant really do what i wanted to do, So after looking for somthing to do i was shocked to see this 83' Golf GTI mk1 sitting there looking sorry for its self at work.
After abit of talking i done a deal on it. The plan is to strip it down, have the body sorted out then a full respray, while that is being doing im going to rebuild the engine and source bits its missing.
I want to keep it looking orginal as possible too.

cool m8,im a vw man 2,had mk2 golf and mk2 jetta aswell,their phat cars,cant wait to see it sorted,please dont go for the rat look,it looks shit.

Just stripped out the interior and all is solid except for one small hole. just need to sort out a body shop to do the work

The seats aint to bad neither, only bad bit was the drivers bolsters. The carpets will be replaced too.

Another update.
Spent the day sorting out the front and going over the back again. Not looking to bad now, theirs a few bits that need doing again. Also started on the inner wings too.
