of the two the boa is the easier one to deal with , the bob has the pats system which can be bypassed ( just not by me.. ) the bob can replace a boa by using the boa loom, again i've no idea on what you need to do but i know of a couple of cars doing this.........

i prefer the BOA's look smarter also....The bottom end on BOA's are supposed to be bulletproof and can withstand 400bhp+ on standard internals ive been told...altho i would put BOB cams into the BOA...dont know why but i know everyone does it

it gives a smoother torque curve , erasing the "flat spot " at around 3000 rpm........

thats how it was explained to me, i didn't have a flat spot as such , but have you noticed the sudden oomph as the secondary opens and you get more power??? it sort of smooths it out abit, me i prefer the oomph bit myself and when the engine goes back in i won't bother with the cams just the vaux injectors..

Yea...i heard Vectra injectors work well...can you enlighting me on this please?

I dont really notice the "oomph" tbh as most of the time the engine is peaking over 3.5k most of the time sideways....will have a listen for it when im next out on track tho

The bumph on 24v BOA vrs BOB

BOA

Easier fitted.loom is simpler, upgrades are install a set of bob cam and a set of vauxhall injectors,i think the boa is a nicer plant slight down side to boa is that there is less meat on the block around the cranks and therefore the bob block is stronger.

BOB

The wiring loom is more difficult to install as it has a pat system,to me not as nice a unit, althought it already has bob cams and a stronger bottom end

I really like how you have done that BOA mate. im transplanting another BOA in my granada cosworth as the engine I have is very weak, the past owner was quite honest, he holed the sump and ran it out of oil. it still drives an goes quite well, but the bottom end rattles a tad and it burns oil, so to cut a long story short, the car is in real nice condition so before i put the new engine in i'm going to mint the engine bay and paint the engine, I don't want it the colour of yours but my car is magenta, so i'm thinkin of doing the heads and top with cosworth written on it in red or magenta. nice to see engines done like that though mate, well done.
