not impressed with that punto! Took me half hour to get it back in, poxy thing wouldn't start and when it did it kept cutting out

with regard's to the air filter, iv now chopped up a k&n and put that over the end of the turbo, so it's now hopfully got abit more of a chance, if it does die il just admit defeat and make one fit... Somehow ??

right, finally uploaded
the car finally has some coolant hose's fitted, not all though, cant figure out where 3 of them go lol
also managed to get the gasket's on the inlet and exhaust manifold's as they wer only mock fitted befour, and turbo oil feed and return are finally done, just need to sort the exhaust downpipe out (currently hitting on drive shaft as it go's down ) and jon need's to finish the wireing, then 'should' be able to get her cranking over
here's a few pic's anyway...
these are the 3 hose's im scratching my head over, they go from the thermastat housing to the heater matrix, but no matter which way i turn them they dont look like they wana go??
unfortunetly i dont have any original hose's to compair against, so if anyone has any idea's please feel free to speak up

i know mate, i was thinking the same when i put it on, was only ever a temp thing, but im not sure what to do/get, proper wrc grill's are a misson to find! might just 'bad boy' the bonnet like my last one? it's already more of a rep than i wanted it to be

hopfully soon mate, just waiting for my mate jon to finish wireing the omex in, and just need to alter the exhaust downpipe (currently rubbing on drive shaft) then should 'hopfully' be able to crank her over, and get her running

Great project, bet its swallowed some money, regarding the air filter situation you could possibly squeeze a mushroom style air filter in, maybe need to mod the slam panel slightly, plenty of them filters on ebay

it doesn't need another engine mount there's 3 mount's on the box and one on the engine which will be plenty!! if it isn't enough then i'l swollow my word's and get one made up...
i aint like you and dont drive like a tosser anyway so it'l be fine lol
when's my wireing geting finished
i have been looking for air filter's but i cant seem to find any small one's?
it's got abit of cut up k&n on there atm
need to find or make some sort of turbo hanger aswel somehow..?

I really like the coolers hanging out the front but i much rather the bad boy bonnet you had matey .... Maybe use the old one and get some louvers pressed into it?

i'l just disconnect the alarm somehow so i can try fireing her up, only need to mod the exhaust, connect to hose's the the heater matrix and shes ready to go.... i think, oh and obviously put some oil in her etc, well excited, but well scared at the same time lol
how's the new addition anyway jon? keeping you up all night? we'l come say hello and meet the nippa when we're all over this poxy cold
anyway, i'l do an update while im here...
new grill, really didn't like the last one and im deffinatly not ruining the bonnet by bad boy'ing it...
as mentioned above, jon's finished my wireing FINALLY lol
need to make some sort of bracket to hold the ecu inplace, but im thinking of putting it in the glove box for simplicity of mapping etc...?
and finally, iv been rubbing all the body work down so i can paint it, for now im spraying it matt black with rattle can's until i can afford a proper paint job and more importantly until i can decide 100% on what colour i want it, until then my moto is power no paint
(note my copper bumper and bonnet spraying stand lol, good being a plumber)
oh, also order my new gaz coilover's saturday but there's a 14-21 day delay on them as there mad to order
hopfully my next update will include a vid of her running

errrr ok then we will have to have a look at it then but its defo got sum sort of standard alarm cos when i connected the jump pack the horn went nuts and i fucking shit myself i did get it to stop but it just restarts again so i unpluged the horn
what was the spec of the last engine it was on cos ur runnin cossie injectors we will have to make sure its maped with the right impendence for those injectors and we might have to wire up the rev counter driver aswell (run out of time)

I honestly can't remember, been so long since I bought the omex now, I don't know what could be making it go nuts, everythings connected up as it was in the donor car, although saying the, in the driver side door there's some sort of electrical connection that goes around the door lock which is currently disconnected from the lock, could that trigger the alarm? God knows if not, my hammer says itl shut up if all else fails though lol
proberly not a good idea for me to try and start it then if there a possibility of it needing to be mapped first?

small update,
finished altering my downpipe and heat wrapped it...
also got my new (second hand) gaz coilover's, found these at half the price of new one's and only 2-3month's old so snapped them up
get them fitted tomorrow or saturday if i pull my finger out
hopfully got some ballast resistor's sorted aswel, so should be able to get her fired up soon

Yeh would be nice but can't see it myself to be honest, not in such a short space of time, need to get it running, setup on a base map, mot'd, taxed, run in and then mapped up properly all befour march really don't think my funds will stretch that far that quickly
