today i borrowed my neighbour supercharger to test fit it on the escort
as it will be similer to the charger im going for
the one in the pics is a mercedes clk supercharger i think trying to get him
to sell but he loves it
so far i am going to mount it at the front of the engine as that is the
easiest place to make it fit
i will need to modify the slam panel move the rad forwards to enable as
much space as possible
might have to modify the exhaust but will see as i will be fitting a 4 2 1
i think it looks awsome :Q
once i am back from wales will try again to buy this one if not will get off
ebay etc
also found a set of discs that have four holes and sit further back than
the focus discs
so i only need to space the caliper 5mm rather than 13mm

have finally got a new bonnet with no rust for the bargain price of Ł7
has taken me a year to find a bonnet that wasnt rotton or really expensive
only problem was it was blue so a bit of matt black sorted that for now
will get painted beige eventually but atleast it doesnt flap around like the old one
have also started painting the inside but when i removed the sound deadening i found a few holes
so they will be getting repaired at some point
and sprayed the cam cover black

Have decide to put the steelies back on as they go with the theme of the car better
liked the alloys but dont think they really suited the car
also done a couple of other little bits ;
fitted a new thermostat as it was always running cold now gets up to temp
attached the standard airbox abit better
and repainted the steelies black
found a great place to take some pics in the nice weather :Q :Q
quite a few pics and a video :Q :Q

Know this is a bit late on in the conversion but did you use a pre-pats ecu or a pats ecu when you did the 2.0 conversion as i'm rite in the middle of using a pats ecu and have all the wires sorted i think? just bit weary of getting it to the point of turning the key and nowt happens

a bit of an update
havnt really done alot as been working alot recently so gets driven everyday
doing 100 miles a day in it and havnt had any major problems
last weekend i decided to sort few little problems out
1 was the gear linkage as it was sloppy and useless
so fitted a puma linkage which i got for Ł10 from my local scrappy :Q and wow what a difference
feels just like a quick shift
second was the fuel pump holder was rotten and fukerd
i didnt want to spend Ł100 on a fuel pump holder so made my own :aviator:
painted the rest of the interior
