well the date is set for next friday to start getting the engine swap and i am hoping to get it done by lunch time sunday

but knowing me it will be done saturday can see me being up all night friday

i have to change

fuel tank
fuel lines
fit fuel pump
engine
wiring
make exhaust
rad hoses need to be modified

at the moment i need a few gaskets and oil and oil filter

really cant wait

not if they are set up right I have 2 cars on bike carbs a 1800 zetec in a mk2 fiesta on bike carbs pushin out 160bhp completly standard and when it got to 6800 was still on the way up (need some arp bottom end bolts ) and a mk4 escort cab with a 2.0l zetec with 175bhp the power curve on both is a straight line all the way up nice and smooth all the way from low rpm to flat chat . all it takes is a good rolling road garage who knows what they are doing

update

i made a start on it today by getting the wiring loom in and pritty much done that just a few earths and lives to connect

once the new engine is in

i plan on starting the engine swap tomoz after work as i have friday and sat off work to get it done

i hope to get the old engine fuel tank pipes out tomorrow and start friday morning on getting the new engine in

hopefully i get it done friday night

finished work early today at 3 then got home and got started on removing the old engine
within in an hour the old engine was out was still warm when itook it out
fitted the new engine and starting putting bits on
so tomorrow i still need to
weld exhaust to downpipe
fit fuel tank pump and lines
finish wiring
finish the plumbing
find and fit aux belt
fit throttle pedal

the engine is now running

just i slight missfire which i think is down to spark plugs as
i didnt change them

just need to fit exhaust
wire up fuel gauge
bolt airbox down
tidyup any last little bits

will get cracking first thing tommorow to get it done

cant wait to drive it

startedb today by fitting a standard airbox

sorted the missfire with some new plugs and runs spot on

and it goes well will be plugging it in to the diagnostics at work on

monday to make sure everything is ok


exhaust got welded and is quiter with the zetec

only had a problem with an oil leak which was coming from the sump

all sorted now

will be tidying up the engine bay tomoz

a little update
have tidied the engine bay
and the engine is fine turns out its not bottem end :devil:
also sorted the oil leak was crank shaft seal wasnt cheap either from ford Ł45 with fitting kit
