Wahay!! I've lost my Virginity!!
with the coil on the rocker, did the cover need machining for the plugs?? and if so was this done by tommy? and how much effort went into it? cheers and the motor looks fookn epic

Cheers Dave
Glad you like it fella
Cheers Si
I will do mate, probably no progress now till the startof next month im afraid when i have more cash
Yes the cover did need machining and it was done by Tommy as he has a milling machine etc on site, all that needs doing is the castle's that stick up that each lead sits on need to be machined off so its all flat, maybe 1mm proud then the bolt that holds it down lines up with the original rocker cover bolt hole
Hope that helps mate
Thanks
Marc

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Marc it looks lovely credit to you,but do me a favour get it checked on the dyno now it's in the car as the graph does suggest its very lean up in the revs, and you don't want a rebuild on your hands after all the hard work.

Tommy will be checking the car over on a 4wd hub dyno once the car is up and running and mot'd etc, before it was taken off the dyno after running the boost was limeade to next to nothing and the rev limit dropped right down etc
The bench dyno was to run in and power test

Small update,
The Gearbox i had in the car for the dummy build etc was of unknown condition and as a rebuild starts at around Ł400 plus delivery there and delivery back i thought for now to get me going it would be cheaper to source a fully working box from someone so i spotted Tom's (Tarmac Terrorist) for sale add for his gearbox in perfect working order just that he bought an uprated box so i drove down to see him, Jacko and Matt to collect it,
Got it home and first job was to swap the transfer tail casing as my prop etc is to suit a sapphire box and obviously this was from an escort cosworth so the output flange is different
So tail casing removed
Then i took the casing off my dummy sapphire box, here they are side by side so you can see the differences,
Sapphire on the left and escos on the right
Internally they are identical though
Sapphire on right, escos on the left
Fitted the sapphire one to the new box and sealered & tightened it all down etc
Then being the bufty i am
Then first coat of primer, will paint it tomorrow weather depending
Just need to save for the concentric hydraulic clutch set up and a new flywheel then it can be bolted to the engine for good.......well until it shits itself anyway
Front diff is away at "GEARS" being cleaned and built up as we speak so that can be bolted to the engine too soon as it is back,

Thanks fella
That's because of your shovel hands, you should be called "Wreck it Ralph"
For this box i think the bolts can stay painted but when i eventually get the other built up with a proper gearkit etc it will be aqua blasted and all new bolts/washers etc
Gonna be a bit slow for a while but il keep it updated as & when
Cheers Ronnie, is yours done yet lol

Put a coat if aluminium silver on the box today, not the best job as I should of bare metal'd the case first to strip off all the old paint as bits are already flaky in corners,
But it will do for now as any paint is crap compared to having the case aqua blasted so its like new,
Not overly happy with it but it probably wont last long enough to worry about it
