More pics on the stuff as it go unpacked,
You cannot see the fine details of stuff like cams, solid lifters, gasket kits, rs500 thermostats etc... but its all there

All of the stuff in front of the table and not hanging on wall is what arrived

Thanks James, I have made pretty much everything myself... not as good as the pros I am sure but I did it... and am happy to share whatever I learnt...
Linc is making my adjustable TCA, brake bits and machining the exhaust housing to my spec etc... Other than that its mostly in the shed work.

Here are some pics for your info...

Some Cossie artwork from where I put primer on bits and bobs, see if you can identify the bits...

The car after its 2 pack primer

You can see I now have a hoist in the shed....

And check this out , somewhere in the shipping process someone dropped this head... (I reckon it would be a UK courier, I know the other people and it would not be any of thier crew ).
The thermostat housing sacrificed iteself so that the head would remain safe... sooo close...

I think that time was last year... I had some changes forced on me by a guy ripping me off... then I got laid off and have to work away from home during the week.
I am hoping for this year... if I keep at it I would hope to have something that is drivable but not complete by then (I have a tons of carbon fibre and other bits to do which are likely to be a stage 2 thing)
Next step is send my three heads off to see which one I port and run... and get the engine built while I get the car ready....
Lincoln - I will need those bits soon.....

I resized the pics to be smaller is that the problem, if it is being able to see stuff (ie the having the stuff laid out nicely), I was not trying to show all the bits... just the stage of the project .
Linc, have you got those bits done yet...

Vic, I am gonna build this car, more bits might just make it happen.
I am still painting the car for the first time, i had to stop and work on our kia van for months. I was waiting for these bits too.
Oh and yes I was waiting on Linc to get those parts done, squeeking wheel in motion...

Here is what the wheels look like:
Note the difference in presentation of 9" to 8" MO's... wife did not like initially so I was scared, but after reviewing pics on compomotive site she is fine with em now.... phew...

Oh and then she chipped me on the mess I have made outside...

I now have three Cossy heads with following specs

A - 2WD YNO627 - V86HF 6090CA Coscast 138.8 mm no corrosion
B - 4X4 YNO643 Coscast V86HF 6090AA 138.6 mm no corrosion
C - Crate RS500 YN0627 V86HF 6090CA 138.3 mm no corrosion, needs line boring on cam tunnel.

Assuming all heads need valve guides replacing and that they pass pressure testing and hardness testing.

I want to get one head ported and put on my near 500hp engine build. Will have solid lifters, double valve springs, Mike Rainbird cam in it.
Keep one as a good spare maybe put on second block I have.
Third is the one I might sell. (yeah Im a hoarder )
I am going to get all heads reconditioned while they are being measured.

What would you do ?

Here are some pics of the heads I now have, I asked PF members to vote on what ones to use where...

Left to right, A 2WD, B 4X4, C RS500

Default Rear arch mod

My compomotives had the wrong offsets... spent a while thinking of options, ended up with the rear arch mod below to make the most of it.

I made my arches act as mould for a fibreglass back plate that will be used to bond the standard arch to using sikoflex

This is backing plate

The backing plate on car...

Start cutting up the arch

Cut and bend out bits
Panel beat out inner skins and Tig weld

Since this post I have fibreglassed the backing plate to the skins...

Waiting for it to set and sun to come before finishing it off with more fibreglass and doing a proper test fit...

Default Group A twin plate clutch

I have three clutches now, full reconditioned 4 puck on std tested pressure plate and flywheel, 6 puck on std pressure plate and lightened flywheel and now this one which I thinkj I am planning to use
Ex Tony Longhurst Group A twin plate clutch....
Check it out... per my builder and other Group A folks , this is genuine... and really nice.

The clutch plate, see how they attached the surface to std flywheel...

The clutch itself, more like a rally clutch... again known to have worked well on the track. The clutch guy from the era described this clutch assy to exact detail before I saw this... a lot of history here

yes, that is the same clutch I threw out! the Grp A ones are pretty much all stuffed, and not worth repairing.
