you rat fooker, its cause you wont come round and make us tea like a good bitch should.
Right their has been massive progress, the car is now back on its wheels fully rolling and close to the point of the engine going back in,
sorry theres no pics to back it up with but my cars taken kind of a Back seat after this weekend,
my lodger picked up what we thought wasw a mint WELL looked after focus rs, afteer 3 whole days of driving this happend
On a trip to the garage to pic up some fuel the Rs decided to eat a spark plug,
So after only 3 days he is learning what its like to own a rs
So a massive thanks to Lloyd of Lloydmotorsport and rich aka xr4x4rs of pikeymotorsport who spent the whole day in blistering heat today stripping the engine out ready to go off to martoon at reyland in the morning

its been far to long!
Right i really havent updated the thread in ages, this is to do with a couple of things, 1, im really lazy and most of the little time i do have off work is spent on my shonky heap, 2 every 1 seams to think i run a free tea, coffee and sausage roll service, and 3 and the most anoying thing i had a massive issue with AOL, What a bunch of half whit T*@T's they really can sort anyting out,
:w all::wal l:
Any way back to the car,
Where to start, as you have seen from some of the other phots ive managed to put up the floor, boot and bay is now paint, cage is bolted back in,dash is in, sound deadenings back in bla bla bla,
couple of pics of the coil overs getting a lick of paint
before
after
Although the pic above is when they was first painted, since it was take they have been painted another 3 times
I will never ever use hammerite smooth in a can again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway back to the car,
so after a lot of cleaning, paintitng and powder coat things really r coming back together,
The powder coater has done the most amazing job, he has managed to get a mirror finish on my tins
He even over did it on the front cross member
The car is now Rolling, what a absolut mission that was though, everyting went wrong, we set about fitting the beam 8pm thursday, this should have been the most simple job ever as the beam and diff was already built up,
The plan was to bolt it up, put the hubs on, wheels no job done!!!!!!!!!!!
oh dear lord it couldnt be any further from the truth,
after having a bearing collaps, and so may other things go wrong we finally managed to getr the car back in to the garage 2am friday morning
The neighbours really really really hate me now
The front end was left until sat,
A quick lift on to axel stands the car looked like this
A few hours later n everything was all bolted back up, only probelm was i for got to take any pics
So this is now how the car looks
plaese excuse the pics they aint the best and all the bits i have had powder coated need cleaning, copper grease oover everything
And all i can say is i will never have a car with a painted floor again,
im having to put bubble wrap on everthing so not to scratch things what a joke
anyway thats all the pics i have at the moment,
cheers jay

massive amounts of sanding and shaping latter and you end up with a bumper that looks like this
it still needs some work as its a little rough in places but it should b in paint by sunday
A massive thanks must go out to adi, he has so many hours invested in the bumper, i hate to think what would happen if i damage it, im not even sure if im allowed to put it on the car yet

I really cant take all the credit for the work, its down to people like rich that the cars turning out like this, i have a massive problem with perfection, i know im a pain in the ass at times but i think the results speak for them selfs, you will jave to come look at all the other stuff that has been painted, all i can say is every single bit of plastic trim is GLOSS Black!
it will be going to martoons for a set up when finshed, then switched over to a nms stage 3 running black's

Right ive just managed to find a load of pics that i thought i had lost, the r in no kinda order but it kinda gives you some kinda idea of what ive been up to,
and why its taking so long
my fuel tank that i spent hours wire wheeling and cleaning ready for high build primer and paint
only problem was after it had been upside down for a couple of hours i notice a small dam patch apear,
a qucik poke with ye-old trusty red srewdriver
this happend, turns out it had rusted so bad a hair line crack appeard,
i lost my temper
and now i need a new fuel tank
oh well its only money
a few more pics of the beam
The boot after a hit with high build primer
i havent taken any pics since it was painted, but the finish is amazing, shame itys going to b coverd up by boot carpet
a couple of random shots of the engine bay before i started to clutter it up by putting things back
im not sure if the heat tape will b any good but i think it looks good
my diff
Before
After
Im not sure if i like the colour its to silver if that makes any sense but its on the car now so to late
And Now for my gloss Black fettish
After painting the roll cage, i decided i wanted a couple more thins gloss black, one thing lead to another and ive ended up with nearly everthing plastic painted in gloss back
C pilar trims
These r stupid, they r mirror finish
The scuttle panel
Door handles
Triangle things
And finally the mirrors
i was really un-sure how this much intense black would look when on the car, but its safe to say it all blend in really well to the point a number of people have commented on how you dont notice whats different but you know somethings different if that makes sense???
oh yer the roof rails have been painted to but i dont have pics of those
cheers jay
