Been at Doug's yesterday to give hime a little help.
As we are Dutch we always are critical so my mate checked the car over very well!!
Whilst doing that Doug was on the phone telling his friends that he beat Ronnie the day before with karting
The car looks very very well specially the roll cage!!!
Special bonnet stay.
The guys started working and this time Ronnie won
But the bolt that hold the tca in the subframe did not want to come out so we needed a bit of fire.
Doug got fed up with it and wanted to set light to the car
We talked him out of it and took the subframe out to cut the bolts out, after 15 mins the normally fast Doug had found a grinder and discs so the tca was off and the man give it a little clean.
After that he was so happy that he wanted to show us his lovely bum
Unfortunately time had come for us to leave and ride back to Holland
Good luck with the resto Doug and hopefully it will be ready next time as i want to see the beast on track

you will need to weld on a top hat onto the top of the turret then bolt the top mounts to it this will give you back your suspenion travel
in a grpa/ wrc car they have top hats welded onto the strut tope to help suspenion travel.
on my fiesta i have top hats welded on but i also will be useing a alloy spacer ring , this will help to keep the travel the same but let me run the car lower.
thanks steven

what suspenion will you be useing .
p.s on the comp struts are you only useing 2 bolts to hold the brackets on the shell , theres lost of preasure on them . on grpa and wrc cars there was a 3rd bolt into the side of the bracket . this hole was not on my escort but domanic welded a insert in to make it up.
thanks steven
