I already pm'd Andrew a few months back asking if i could straight swap with these and would they fit my uprights, there not a direct swap as i need to alter my link lengths and possible the rose joints but the wrc arms do fit my hubs so yes i will most likely get a pair off you when the rear end goes back together, pm the price again as i forgot what you said last time, did you get the tca bolts done too?

Anybody for a brew?
Just going back to that about MOT SVA e.t.c. The MOt tester will look at the car enter the details I.e chassie and reg on to the system longs as the colour, reg, chassie num, and car i.e escort witch is what it will look like to the naked eye. come up. He will test it. Then aslongs the emmissions, brake efficency, headlight alingment, bushes, play in suspension, tyres, seat belts and every thing else they test there is no reason why they wont just pass it. Sorry if thats all ready been said and i'v just started the obvious.
Looking good any way beefy.
Looking good any way beefy.

its only a matter of time before this comes in in one form or another.
So its wise for people doing such conversions these days to at least consider the implications of registering the car correctly or at least registering it via someone "friendly" with DVLA so you have it on the vehicle history as having been checked.

ok peeps , after yesterdays dealings with the turrets , we got on today with re positioning them as to marks recommendations ,
so the idea was to set them with the same castor and camber as the fronts, so we decided to keep the lowest part of the turret to the centerline , and canter the top in and back ,
so we got on with it ,
how they looked , 6degrees inclined - how we had them to begin
they were then reposition in accordance with the angle of the fronts
now 14 degrees , seemed a little excessive at first , but its ok in the front so its ok for the back lol
the were vertical in car
now 5 degrees back
felt like andyescos today !!!
so how they look inside tub
filler strips were started , these will be welded in then a 2mm think plate welded over the top to a good solid weld to turret
all set and checked to every accountable measurement
how they now look from front lol
they look a little steep inward , but the turrets fit alot better karl was on with welding them in now ,
so yeah , catching bk up , hopefully they should be sorted by the weekend ,
just the cradel to collect and get that fitted ,
beef and karl ,
ohh and there wleded in now so they aint coming back out !!!!!

currently yes, but as most people know there are proposals for stiffening the MoT system to include checking for modifications and highlighting radically altered/rebuilt vehicles incorrectly registered.
its only a matter of time before this comes in in one form or another.

i had my cossie mk3 cab inspected from greater manchester stolen vehicle squad after it went for an identity check at the dvla local office to take my private plate off. the dvla officer was concerned that it may be stolen due to the floor number being in the wrong place to the mk4 carpet what was fitted and the colour being different(there fault not changing wen log book filled in) so off to gmsvs and he said that as the majority of the car is its original form ie the looks that changing the direction of the drive train isnt significantly altering it enough to Q plate it thank fook then 2 wks later decided to keep her n put plate back on lol. thought ide be doing the same but i transfered to my van and never had to take for an id check result

the only assumption i can make regards that is andys car / cars are primarly built for the track , theres no issues with bumpy roads ect,
as this is a road car mark made the poing of adding some castor and camber into the car to help the travel of the tyre, so say if i hit a pothole it wouldnt br trying to rip the wheel backwards rather than upwards ,
ive no dount they will be fine now , lol they have to be so to speak , as k said , ive limited time and cant afford to wait ,it wouldnt be fair to the folk waiting behind me ,
been put on girlfrined duty today ---- fucking shopping !!
will try to get over to see karl later on today ,

when this thread is finally finished and the car is out, is it possible for one of the mods to duplicate it with just the bits that need keeping in, like the pics etc?
don't want to strip this thread down to the bare bones as it's got a lot of questions asked and answered throughout, but it's one hell of a long read at 50 pages, beef's moved house at least twice, the cars been changed at least once, and between them, they must have had about 50 different jobs, it's reading like his life story not just a quick fixathon on a motor

Quality diy suspension.
Don't forget the front does the steering, so having it the same at the back does not mean it will work.
Have a look through the net at similar stuff your doing for tips. Group b supercars to the wrc escort.
Unless you can get hold of a copy of a computer suspension program.
