still waiting on garage doors being delivered so we can fit them up and get the pickup moved to its new home!! then il get the rest of my parts fitted and start the underbody restoration.
Fingers crossed the doors wont take any longer! ive only been waiting a month.

i keep asking him about it but he wont get the finger out of his hoop lol!! he took the original engine out to slot in a 450bhp engine but never got round to actually putting the other one in so its sat for ages in his garage doing nowt!! shame really but he wont sell it the way it is cos he can just throw in the old engine,get it detailed then sell it for a lot more than selling it the way it is.
if i was kenny i would keep the golf as well its a proper tool like lol!! i wish i hadnt sold it

Right folks time for an update!! ive started stripping down underneath the car and i have been buffing the car down to the metal and the plan is to stoneguard it and paint the underneath blue!! all suspension parts etc will be powdercoated and refitted along with cossie rear disc conversion!!
heres some pix!!!!!







the car is caked in old waxoyl etc so im just trying to move as much as poss then powerwash the rest off ready for painting.

I fitted my new wiper motor back plate which was a fooking nightmare!! i also took off the old inlet ready for fitting my new one and fitted my slam panel plate.

Looking very nice m8how did you get the underseal off iam doing the escos but its a pain in the arse doing it with a drill and wire thingymagig

Fitted my new exhaust manifold today and to say it was a bollock ache would be an understatement lol!!!
Had to rotate the turbo to get it to fit and the actuator sits at the back instead of the front now!! heres some pics of it half fitted il get it finished tomorrow fingers crossed

Looking nice, very nice, one thing to check though, in the pics, the oil return looks like it goes slightly uphill just as it goes into the block!
Oh, and have you thought of a saf cos rear spoiler? i think it'd look cool!!

Fitted some more stainless bits i bought and put everything back together after fitting my exhaust manifold!!
I also started work on the floor inside the cab it was a total doddle to scrape off the shit i just used a blowtorch and scraper so next is to finish buffing down underneath then get it painted

I cracked on with underneath and had to buy another grinder for buffing underneath with the wire wheel!! thats my 3rd grinder ive bought lol.
After everything was basically down to the bare metal i realised that there was quite a few hidden rust spots in the rear inner arches where the seams join nothing major but im gonna go the full hog and replace the inner and outer arches at the rear and cut out all visible rot










any advice from peeps who have done this repairs before would be a great help cheers
