Been doing some more work on the escort lately. Gave the interior a good clean and gave the leather seats a proper treatment. It was really necessary after being in the garage for nearly two years.
Spent a few hours where the doors meet the body. A lot of dirt in there.
Also had all wheels of and gave them a good clean and polish
Back on polished with Meguiars good stuff
Also changed the window scraper seals and the seals around the doors. And i found some surface rust. Nothing serious, but check under yours as well to see if there is any. Can be a problem if not fixed at once.
Old window seal
Surface rust. Got it cleaned, treated and painted. Sorted.
Also got new original car mats, but i got for RHD cars instead of LHD so waiting for the right ones
And i got the tank mounted again. Had some problems with the previous paintjob. The plastic are "breathing" so the fuel came through the tank and made bubbles in the paint. Hopefully sorted this time. Been covered in polyester before paint so that should do it.

Time for an update.
Did the MOT a while ago. No remarks.
Also got a carbonbonnet from Performance trim. Roofpanel ordered. All in 4x4 twill. Same as the creative carbon stuff. Perfect fitment.
The other day i F.... up my rear diff so ordered a proper Zf diff that should do the job. Also got a quaife box to kope with the power

Long time since last update. Not too much going on at the time, but have bought a large pro alloy intercooler, rad and fans so to get the intercooler in place i need to change the crossmember to get it it. 115mm thick so its a monster. Also having the front painted including frontbumper. Front window is being replaced also the same time as i put the carbon roof on. Also got some new inner arches, seals around the window, door etc. And a set of crystal morettes for LHD. The last ones were RHD ones.
Thick bastard
Also got a proper diff. 7,5" Zf.
And got a set of cams, bd16 inlet and bd14 exhaust. Had it on the dyno and it prodused 517Whp and 674Nm. Very happy with the result and the spoolup is quite fast. Very drivable. But a bit scary now with 2wd hehe.
Here the guy helping me with the mapping. Raimond Nordnes, the one with the crazy Texaco cosworth with over 900hp tearing up the road on Gatebil every year. Really competent with cars. Building a new car these days, probably with 4 figures out of engine.
And i got a set of 19" OZ magnesium wheels with sentre lockbolt. Are having them painted in gold

Then i was back in Norway. Snow and cold. Me not like. Much better in Singapore. But nice to be home again. Got some freshly painted parts back. The frontbumper had some stonechip so that got some new paint. Also the front of the car was painted. I had to do that after i removed the old crossmember to fit the larger intercooler. So now im working on removing all the parts before fitting the new roof. Im also getting the tailgate made in carbon so the car will not be put back together before that has arrived.
Painted bumper and some new lights
Put the carbon covers on the new crystal morettes.
Removed all the gaskets around the window, doors etcFound some surface rust under the gasket for the front window, but nothing serious.
Total chaos in the garage, but its organized chaos lol.
These small lists on the roof was a bitch getting of, but luckily i didnt break any of them. I heard they are costly.
Rooflining and all the inside trimmings is off. Sunroof, windshield and tailgate is also off. Not easy to do alone but got it done somehow hehe.
This shit wighed a ton, at least!!
Sunroof is gay
My son got his first escos. Just see how happy he was. I just have to paint it in mallardgreen.
The hubs also arrived after nearly a year of waiting. But they do look the business
