Cheers mate, its currently a fresh engine with wossner pistons, pec rods, lightened and balanced. The head has been ported and im running a gt25 for now, not aiming for silly figures probably only run about a bar of boost but should be over 250bhp

ha ha ha, it may have been easier but I wanted to keep some character. I think the carb looks pretty crazy and is different, in the future I may look into a set of twin 45s from a lotus esprit!
The SU carb will fuel 300bhp though lol

The car is going to be set up this weekend, it does have a wideband fitted yes
I have a video of it on one of the first fire ups here:
seems to boost nice and early....
Jet wise the main jet size is the same size on all these carbs it all goes by the needle which will almost definately need modifying.

First runs on the rollers 246bhp 290lb/ft. That is on a dyno dynamics so an acurate figure.
it went lean right at the top, so some needle modifications this week, Iain thinks I will see 200bhp with ease, loads more to gain

2.0 Blacktop zetec on bike carbs would probably be the cheapest bang for buck and good fun on track, reliable
A mk2 could be done much cheaper as they are cheaper to pick up and theres a lot less involved lol
to do a mk1 on a budget I reckon you would need at least Ł1500 probably more, trouble is parts are getting harder to find, as said the mk2 is pretty much the same car but much more straightforward and therefor cheaper, parts are easier to come by etc
