I finaly have a decent brake set up
Been on the hunt for some decent front brakes for ages but they always turned up when i was skint, last week paul at north yorks put some 330 6pot tarox up for sale so i snapped them up. I recived them today and they're fucking massive well happy with them. Obviously havent fitted them yet but as soon as the weekends here they are going on.
Also got kitchen devils old ap 6 paddle clutch of him at the weekend as my standard one isnt up to much.
Was planning on cleaning the brakes up abit but realy cant be bothered gonna stick them on and use them until i do the underbody resto then get new bolts, anadise bells etc...
heres some pics, for some reason i took them up side down but cant be arsed to take anymore
check the surface area of the pads, theyre massive

wow liking the thread fella, I see you put some money and time into the car.
It looks perfect with standard lights and indicators and the th2's.
I wouldnt use that ap 6 paddle though from my experience.
1. They are too harsh and they cut into the flywheel surface.
2. They don't last very long as the fixing bolt heads protrude up too high.
3. I'd stick to the standard or organic clutch plate.
Just my two cents. Nice car though I really am looking at getting a saph again because of you lol

me mate had the 6 paddle with standard plate and it slips with greens, it is harsh with the heavy duty plate but means you can give it abbusive and not worry, was also going hydrolic clutch later in the year so not a problem
had a 4 paddle on my series 2 now that was harsh

cheers mate cant wait to try them out
Had a bit of a road trip today ( on a hangover ) down to see neomagic in bourewornth to pic up a bara felted diff was 4 hours round trip which wernt to bad an no traffic either.
got a package today with a 4x4 inlet cover and reyland 14mm spacer aswell which cheered me up, although it looks to be a bit harder to fit than i thought. Can i use the 2wd throttle housing, tps & fuel rail or do i nedd 4x4 items ?
Managed to fit my heater gauge holder that i ordered from burtons a while back wasnt happy with the way my clock re placement one fitted as the afr gauge is realy chunky i couldnt get the plasitcs to fit properly. the gauges where also sunk and was hard to read, its only a 2 holder and looks bit gay but im not a fan of loads of gauges so im happy the fit is very good
plan is to get the brakes bled and maybe diff fitted tomorrrow if i can do a runner from the mrs that is
few pics

managed to get away from me bird for a few hours today to try and get the diff replaced wish i hadnt bothered though
first things first i started of with a box meal at kfc
Had a fucking nitemare to be honest the diff had obviously never been off and every bolt was completly siezed, managed to round of a drive shaft / diff hex, one top bolt on the diff and completly muller the main bolt that slides through the diff, got realy pissed of at one point and nearly threw the towl in
gary kitchen devil turned up around 3 to lend a hand and things started to move along, got the new diff mounted bar the bolts i mullered. Its me birthday next week so gonna take a few weeks off and take a breather seem to be throwing so much time and effort at the car and getting fuck all out of it
Wasnt to impressed with the msd diff mount either as the bolts supplied are practicaly rubbing on the rear anti roll bar
