not entirely true i painted the gear box hoping it will stop the oil getting out in the first place

done a little more down the garage stripped & cleaned drive shaft parts & rear prop & got in etch primer i will paint tomorrow with 2k satin black .





i have stripped out all the speedo gubbins & welded a cap where the drive & locking pin went .




i will be on it again tomorrow .

 

car looks great, just stumbled across this thread while looking on google & am a pf member, after a few flicks though random pages of this build i thought...................

this looks like the 1 in the classic ford mag i brought this morning!

a few pages later its confirmed, the grafters feature was a good little read & atleast now i can an eye on the progress & see the finished result.

good luck & keep up the great job ur doing of building this car.

Thanks Glenn i was going to get all the bits powder coated in titanium but money is a bit tight lately i have all the paint all ready so i thought i would paint a few bits so i can get the engine & box back in at last .

i just need to drop all my bolts& brackets down for zinc plating before i put it together .

How you getting on with the fiber glass Andy

 

very slowly mate i hate fiber glass im hoping i found some one from princess yachts to do the moulds for me .

 

That will be good Andy as fiber glossing is shit witch ever way you look at it

 

How have I only just seen this thread? Looks awesome, used to like seeing this car at the shows, will be good to see it again when it's done!

It's only 87 pages long mate, easy to miss!!

Fook knows how I missed it, glad I found it though!!

 

I fitted the x shaft & cover to the sump & also fitted the baffle back inside ,i also fitted new viton seals in the aux shaft cover & front & rear crank seals then fitted new moon seals & sealed the sump & bolted it down



i also fitted new poly bushes in the engine mounts & dummy fitted them on the block ,im waiting to get some titanium bolts to fix permanently .

 

That looks spot on mate, bet your happy seeing it going back together ?
