Wow just read the whole thread from the first post, read every single update and comment. Its taken me about 3 days as I only get time when I come in from the garage at the end of the night. Really amazing work Andy, it's like every time you do some thing the next bit needs to be braught up to a higher standard so that gets chopped out, then its on to the next. Keep up the good work keep the up dates coming!

Yes I really like your thread, I really like the car, the way you go about making it what you want it to be. The way you show with the pictures how it gets done and the standard you work to. Oh also loads of GRINDER ACTION! But yes basically I just couldnt stop reading it as I am just so fascinated by what is going on there.

What do you find works best for dressing back the welds? Im finding the grinding wheel too rough and the flapper discs dont last and they are expensive. Got a load of 4" fibre discs might try them actually.
Keep up the good work Andy!!!

You did say you was going to cut the lourvered scuttle panel out. Im interested to see what you come up with as a replacement, thinking of your creativity on the rear cradle profiles, could get some thing cool laser cut in the new panel.

I dont make it easy for myself, Im using a gasless mig just now its all Ive got. It was great for cash jobs at some ones house outside in the wind, but now I have a garage the wind doesnt matter. So the spattery, crusty, bubbly mess that the gasless makes is really what is killing the flapper discs. On top of this Im thinking of going 110v anyway, so since I need to buy a welder and a grinder (been borrowing a mate's one for too long now) now seems like a good time, if only I had the money. Cars eh?

I think you need to kick him up the ass and get him down to yours to help you with your car as when his comes back you wont see him for dust

You know, the more I look at all the pictures of this car, it would of probably been easier for you to just create a space frame and put your shell and bodykit over the top like AGs Focus, then do all this random cutting and welding all over the show.
