i am planning a standard restoration on her i only intended this from the outset due to it being a ghia and a dying breed i reckon they are becoming rarer than xr3's the only mods are spot brackets and a set of chrome ford spots every thing on the car was original its really hacking me off that i have to change the wings and front panel though.

hi neil we dealt with them last year quit a bit. the postage was about the same as now but like i said earlier if the parts are rare here it is still a good deal, well from my point of view i did not mind the extra on shipping if you compare the stupidly over priced items on e bay. it can still be cheaper but i dont think there is anything for the mk3 available yet if you need panels try the hadrian website direct they still have a lot and if it is stocked they will send it to your local panel dealer not to bad i think, cheers mate.

escort mk3
good stuff neil theres nothing wrong with pattern panels nowadays hadrian are good quality well pressed items and insurance company approved so they have to fit good have you seen the original ones on e bay the guy thats selling them must be in dreamland with his prices i dont mind a bit of profiteering but downright greed i cant stand he is asking the best part of 200 quid each and they're quite tatty looking at that greedy

Hi sammy, mines at a bit of a stand still at the moment. just had to strip the gearbox for the 3rd time ( forgot to engage reverse ) so thats my current job. ive degreased it and given it a good few coats of hycote aluminium, looks very nice but reverse gear is pretty hand is'nt it lol. hows yours coming along? p.s where the heater pipes plug into the car ( behind the engine ) there is a plte with 2 holes for it. took mine of and given it a good clean, came up well, think it was gold zinced originally but ive given it aprimer and a few coats of goild and it looks tops. just waiting on a welding friend to do me front end now. see you later, neil

hi neil how are you i am the same as yourself at a standstill too i am waiting to put the car down to my bros for the paint and body overhaul i have to rebuild my engine too my gearbox is a standard four speed i decided against fitting a five as i want it in original spec when finished, i have resisted the temptation to slightly modify it.. well to be honest i have a set of ford spots to go on it, i found a pair of rare chrome backed cases instead of the standard black plastic ones i thought they would compliment the car using new lenses on the casings we have a steady stream of fords coming in all the time mostly mk1 fiestas and supersports for restoration why dont you have a look at the ford fiesta mk1 forum and you will see the work we do we are restoring a mk1 s/sport at the moment look for posts by slick he's my brother you can see some of the disasters we have saved let me know what you think cheers mate sammy
