Cheers guys,
Brendan I need to go down and see Hendys for the last few bits I need, do you get a discount
Yes I am going on the 17th, if shes not ready im going with Ian
Here how she is now, I have some of mikes shims to put in. According to the ford manual you need a special tool to insert the hubs on to the spindle.. Can someone confirm this is required?

Did you underseal it, if so did you need to prime it before painting it moonstone or is it ok to paint straight over the underseal?
I'll be doing mine soon so just working out the best way to tackle it!

Cheers guys,
Tan I didnt underseal, I stone chipped and then primed then painted and sprayed the moonstone base coat, then finished it off with 2k clear lacquer.
Dean the diff is painted in hamerite smooth silver, the shims were a bit shite to be honest and I cant see them making a blind bit of difference, they are so thin plus you have to cut the shite out of them to make them fit. I wasnt too impressed.
Rich its a great feeling, was a real moment when I lowered her back down after so long in the air.
will pop over and say hi Lee, looking forward to seeing your beast

Will you waxoil over the paint or do you think it will have enough protection? I will be doing mine soon and I want to do the same as you - stonechip and then prime and paint. I would prefer not to waxoil over the paint as it will get so grubby.

Tan i did consider waxoiling it but as i dont use it during the winter months i would prefer to leave it looking nice and clean. If it was an everyday car I wouldnt have painted it anyway but would of black waxoiled it.
Cheers
John

Fortunately I didnt have the fuel tank powdered, I nearly did then someone pointed out that there are plastic parts inside. First I keys it up then etch primed then grey primer then two coats of silver then a coat of 2k top coat. Does the job.... I hope
