update time. i've bought a l8 ecu with msd chip for closed loop & coil pack driver board & a dingy loom with coil pack leads from si b.

also been out in the garage today & got the engine bay in paint. got a few runs on one side & not too sure if i'll be able to get them out. if not i'll flat it down & paint it again. still gotta paint the top of the bulkhead as this is where all the wiring is at the mo.

you can see the diamond whit bumper next to the pure white bay in this pic. it really doesn't do it justice in the pic. the bumper looks yellow in real life. cant wait to get the rest of the car done & get it out in the sun

i decided to move the tow eye as (a) it looked shit & (b) with only small gaps in the bumper to feed the intercooler, half of it was covered with the tow eye.

i repainted the bay this morining as i wasnt really happy with it. really happy now though

my weldings not that great lol. its just a case of picking up a welder & having a go. the biggest problem is warping the panels with the heat

thanx. i never really planned for them, they just sort of turned up at the right price. i've now gotta make a coil pack bracket to fit the original coil mounting holes so i dont have any spare holes in the inner wing lol

been out yesterday & painted the top of the bulkhead & the calipers. i've taken some better quality pics so just thought i'd post em up

these are the brackets i made to fit the aerocatches lower in the bumper

i've marked the disks wher the pads wont touch & will paint that part black to stop them rusting.

im pretty happy with it so far. now for the fun part of fitting it back togeather

small update. front suspensions back on & the cars back on the floor.had a few bits re-powder coated as they were looking a bit tatty

this is how the poor thing has looked up unitill this wekend when i finally decided to un-bury it

been out in the garage tonight & made a coil pack bracket.

started off with a mondeo coil pack bracket

cut it down to the bit i wanted

then started cutting shaping & welding new metal onto it. it uses the original coil mounting holes on the inner wings as the bay was already painted when i got the coil pack conversion

pretty happy with the way it turned out. just gotta get it powdwer coated in chrome powder coat along with the alloy tanks/swerl pot etc
