Keep an eye on the fuel cap seal Mate I put a new one on mine about 2 years ago but it is now worse then the original one I replaced it for, it's totaly cracked and falling apart, although it's new from fords it has still probably been sitting on a shelf for about 15 to 20 years so has already started to deteriorate, well thats the only reason I can think of.

i've only got a 50lt 1.5hp compressor & a cheap gun that was supplied free with some paint & i just use one of them 2 filter masks. i work to the theory of 'whats the worst that can happen' lol. worst case is you fuck it up & you have to pay someone else to put it right. all that you would have lost is the price of the paint (which isnt really that much). i just pile the paint on thick then flat it back with 1500 then 2000 grit paper to get a nice finish. probably not as good as a professional job but a damm site cheaper

its been a while since i've done much to it due to the hot weather (& the fact im lazy). but finall got the boot & spoiler painted today. both needed to go down to bare plastic/metal due to a huge build up of previous paint. the easyest way to get all the paint off the spoiler turned out to be with a blow tourch & wire brush. here's the pics
all sanded smooth
guide coated
and finally painted
hopfully i'll be able to flat the paint back tomorrow & polish

cheers. there probably gonna be a silvery grey but saying that they probably wont stay that colour either. some people change there wheels regularly to get a different look, but as i love my rl7's so i'll just change the colour. i rekon they'll even be gold at some point
