Default Fiesta SI Rebuild

I started this in August and took the car off the road in October and got it back on the road in June two days before the tax ran out in hindsight I should have cashed it in but I was expecting the car to be off the road for a couple of months.

I picked the car up for £140 of a mate as he got the hump with it as it wouldn't start, after towing it home and spending about an hour poking round the engine bay I discovered one of the main battery earths wasn't connected, needless to say he wasn't happy when I told him!!!

The as it was when I brought it;

I had to replace one sill completely and repair the other, I can't find pics of this, I also replaced a front wing as it was dented and it made it easier to change the sill by taking the wing off.

The car was driven round for a while in a multitude of colours where I'd repaired parts and just coated them in primer, needles to say my work mates found it very amusing.

Things got interesting when I took it off the road, completly stripped to make it easy.

Coated in sealer (I quite liked the colour);

Then primed;

The coated in Subaru WR blue;

Where we live the garages are on the back of the houses and ther is a dirt track running along the back, its a complete pain as in the winter its muddy and in the summer its dusty!! So we created a spray booth;

I even brought some infra red patio heaters to help dry the paint, these have come in useful in the garage when its cold.

One of the doors;

The parrot has now been mounted on a bracket just above where the cable is coming through. I also upgraded the windscreen to a heated version.
