Bit of a crap update got round to getting the paperwork sent off for the new number plate so its G10 COS now

on a lighter note

I thought it best to have the diff checked over etc so sent it to Bara motorsport

Got a call from Bara to say it had some worn bearings and a weeping seal got a price for a full rebuild (to give it the best chance of staying in one piece lol) spoke to Paul @nyrs spares Just to get his advice, and he offered straight away to either swap for standard diff or to cover most of the rebuild costs
I really can't believe how helpful Paul has been I he's gone above and beyond in helping me out,So once again a Huge thanks goes out to Paul once again

all built up

also got a new poly bush off Matt Lewis for the diff mount as the old one was looking a littler worn to say the least

then when I was having a sort of in the garage found a new old boot badge

Not really looked at the cossy for a while with sorting the house then playing in the mud in me disco

had this week off work(just to chill out) but today Ive had a look at the poor old thing

this is what I found when I removed the carpet(due to matrix leaking)

so made a start on a repair

have run out of welding gas for today,
So started to have a dig about the rear arch as there was a nasty looking scab and after a few mins it turned in to this

so overall a bit shit really!

I'm also going to replace the front wings(Ive got gen ford in stock!) and back panel (patten part)as they are all showing the odd spot of rust,

Once again its a crap update really

Me misses sorted out the welding gas for me this morning

Didn't get as much as I wanted sorted today, have had to order a replacement inner arch panel due to there being more rust on the inner arch lip

But at least this time I will have removed all the rust from the inner and outer arch area

so I carried on with sorting the drivers floor

Made up a new edge

Trial fitted

Drilled ready for welding

All welded, smoothed off a bit and etch primed

Then I turned my attention to the offside "jacking point"

Chopped it off

Rusty hole

Cleaned up, hammered back in to shape

Ive welded up the hole and rewelded it back in the car now

Just need to repair the sill where Ive opened it up and thats that bit finished

Need to get the best cavity wax I can find?

Still need to order a sill to repair the hole I'd made to repair the inner sill

Anyway while I wait for it to turn up I made a start on the drivers rear arch

Have smoothed off the welds am waiting for some sealer and weld through primer off a mate before I fit the outer skin

Have also got some Dintirol cavity wax once its all done, So will never rust again........ i wish lol

Finally started working on the old bone again

There was a rust spot the size of a pin head showing through the paint but as we all know once you start digging.......

Mud/sand/dust/ general crap

So as the inner arch has rotted also its chopped out a bit more than I wanted

Really don't want to be doing this again anytime soon!

Also what looked like a tiny bit of rust in the bottom edge of the sill turned in to this

First update for a while, as some of you know I'm now a dad so spare time is non existent!!
But I've got this week off work to sort a few things out,
Managed to finish the passenger side arch and sill as far as welding goes anyway! Bodyshop will be doing the filler work!

Sill all welded up but I forgot to take pics of the repairs to the inner sill area

Found a bit of rot I the passenger chassis leg and boot floor above the exhaust so while it was up in the air I though it best to sort that as well

Crap pic but you get the idea

Just got to find the time to strip the doors out then it can go to the bodyshop for some tlc!!

Which in turn has left the workshop floor like this

Lol but at least this should help slow any more rusting down a little!!

Found some time to fit the rear lights Looks good, will take some pictures but haven't got the time to take the saff for a ride with the newborn.
The newborn is doing it great, eats and sleeps good. Atleast one is getting sleepy nights
I'm a bit tired during the day but getting better everyday
