Nice power there too Matt, and phenomenol torque! Although as you know mine was done there the week before and felt the torque was a little on the high side... at least the gearbox thinks so lol!

Love this car though mate!

cheers danny
shut it lofty
Anyway on the 2nd run it right through without the misfire so

Well it WAS all going well for almost a whole year untill the head gasket let go again
Was thinking of selling it but the missus says NO! so the decision was made to go to town on it this time,
Want it back out on the road for coombe for next year

so I have now got a new(to me) engine, GT30 turbo, and an autronic ecu and new brembo calipers

this is the engine spec from the forsale ad
Originally Posted by rsmark86

New 200 block
forged pistons running standard compression with big vavle cut outs
standard grind crank
fully lighten and balanced bottom end
new stardard rods
arp everything
wrc gasket ( told by grace engines who built it its 6 long studs) with arp bolts in the rest
uprated oil pump
2wd sump
grace engines race spec head
custom grind cams to grace engines spec (perfect for rb turbo)
3 angle seats, new guides (the lot)

this is still in car so can be heard running and is in a 520bhp 3dr detuned to 450bhp @1.5 bar and has done 6/7k faultlessly.
Anyway a few pics

inlet

Cleaned up and painted with msd 14mm spacer with all new stainless allen cap head bolts

New engine was built by Grace engine developments about 7k miles ago and im told its good big power

Gave it a clean up and repainted the block

I fitted a new cometic sump set just because I had 1 in stock!!

will be adding a few bits new bolts etc just to tidy it up a bit

GT3071 just needs a bit of a clean up its very good other than that

Autronic sm4

New brembos from an evo 7iirc with home made mounts

As soon as its all together it will be booked in with Mark Shead for mapping so should do a proper 450bhp with any luck

Got to say a huge thanks to Rod Tarry for sorting the loom for the autronic and wouldnt take a penny from me

Looks good Matt.
How are you going to connect fuel lines to the reg and fuel rail, reason i ask is that i have a 4x4 inlet setup to go on my engine.
BTW, the rouse splitter repaired well and is on my FG track front bumper .

Not to worry its sorted now, nah I got it off another forum member(eazy ways) on here just need to find the time to get it all together now and see if it works as I asked Mark Shead about the coils and he has never used them either, always nice to try new things although I really hate/dont do wiring

I now need to get my finger out as i really want the car back on the road as more than anything I got a new plate for it, I'm now the owner of G10 COS for a bargain price so that the incentive I need lol to get the project moving again,

the new lump is now fully built up just need to fit the clutch so once I'm back from scottyland I am going to jump on it to try and have her on the road for summer, although I'm not sure how far i am going with the tidy up until the engines in could well end up going concourse if the misses gets her way!!
