Will be cracking on today.
Was up early. Got my bike MOT'd and then belted up to Wayne and Alex to get the alloy bits. Top work from the guys as usual.
All this was done after a brief chat in the week, scribbled drawinings of some stuff on a piece of paper and bits dropped off. Hey presto, made exactly to spec and will fit real nice and look uber cool.
to Pro Alloy!

Churchy (who does my machining work) has been off ill for the last 5-6 weeks with severe food poisoning brought on by a dodgy KFC (at one point he was rushed to hospital with the onset of kidney failure, which they only noticed when he started turning yellow ). Unfortunately he is still off work and is on 16 tablets a day and is basically going to have the condition for life . The food poisoning brought on a bout of Colitus (sp?), which is something to do with the swelling of the organs, and this is non-curable and he can have a relapse in another few months or if he is lucky, it can lay dormant for the rest of his life.
Hope he gets some serious compinsation from KFC!
The coffin is looking amazing, keep up the hard work.

ok... Maria is cooking dinner.... so I am gonna have a glass of wine and update the thread!
as Chip said. Stu is just a TOTAL legend for doing this all for me!!!
Ok... as Mentioned the budget build idea kinda got a bit forgotten and as the car got more and more cooler under the bonnet and nicer spec I decided to get a new dashboard and dials which I promised myself I wouldn't but as Stu said... it kinda deserved it. I kinda liked the old dash and the way it look but obviously being over 10years old it was a bit tired... so we decided to keep it similar but with all new bits!
This was how the old dash looked.
and a close up after I picked all the paint off the speedo surround... (I was going for the rustic look
I LOVED the old style gauges and they are SOOOO much easier to read at a glance out on track than the millions of SPA gauges I had in the Sierra.
So I got some new ones!
Old dash out!!!
trial fitting the Carbon dash...
cutting the holes!
gauges going in
pics dont do the finished article justice! it looks awesome!! WELL PLEASED!
Stu you da man!
and MARIA.... this needed to be done... as if you look the old boost gauge only read to 1.5 bar... so these mods were NEEDED!

sooo... more engine bay updates. We started off with this...
and that was just not good enough for stu!
so bit by bit he has gone around the whole bay doing cool little bits and bobs... functional of course but sweet looking and beautifully installed...
Fuel reg
new battery, coil packs, ignition amps and and all mounted on carbon instead of that horrible ally...

Stu made a bracket to secure the Battery....
He will have a carbonfibre coffin this boy
Last monday we took a trip down to Proalloy as stu decided we needed a custom rad... custom header tank, breather and also the intercooler modded... oh and as the cam cover FINALLY came back from Rainbum, we took that down there so it could have a breather pipe put in
Stu explains what he wants and draws Wayne pretty pictures....
whilst Alex modded the cover
He whacked his heeeead... but the end result was perfect! Stu was well pleased and so was I!
incidently with all the bits missing at the front... poor Yorik was loking a little sorry for himself!

Stu had also been mega busy around the back... in fact the rear end took the most time but I know its something he was really proud of!
The old rear looked like this..
but obviously this had to be changed as we had fitted the new RAC cage, which TOTALLY stiffens the whole rear and is far far safer...
oh and Maria wrecked that carbon bit at national day anyway
I wanted to have a boot still for my sandwiches and stuff :cry so stu set about making a 'Lee proof' one!
one huge piece of carbon was all neatly cut and trimmed up
then holes cut and trimmed for the other bars to go through
This took a LONG time!!! but the final result is awesome. looks so good it the flesh and I have a really simple hinged boot!
