oh... stu modded his bonnet as well this weekend.
and I took his Westfield out... for first time on the external gate GT30....
HOLY FUCKING CHRIST ITS FAST!!!!
Sooooooooooo fast in fact that when we were encountered by over 30.... yes THIRTY Caterhams going the opposite way and heading for some lanes that Stu would not let me go around the roundabout and give chase
The poooof!
I mean when is something like that EVER going to happen again?!?!?! thats like being out in the Reyland Cossie and finding 30 Scoobys ahead of you!!!! or Rod being side by ride with a Veyron doing 70mph who is up for a race!!!
Stu... hang your head in shame!!!!

Like I was gonna let you go after them! You had done about 1 mile in it on the new spec and even after owning it for 4 years I can say its really quite scary now so all I could think about was having to retrieve it from a ditch!!
Well pleased with how its going now though. Its running about 18 PSI boost and is as quick (probably quite a bit quicker low down) than it was before running 26psi on the T4.
Only changes from before are its got a new smaller inlet plenum with port matched trumpets, new special secret squirrel frijj cams and secret solid lifters, 44mm Tubi manifold with a GT3076 and external gate.
If Lee's car is much longer at the painters it will also have a plated gripper diff by the weekend too!

There was a reason it was yellow in fact... you pretty much sold me this
Once we had it all apart it was obvious that it was fitted with a spare wheel holder and wheel when it was whacked and this protected the body somewhat but meant the chassis got bent.
Lots and lots of welding and some new bars and lots of gussets and MANY MANY hours by the boys at Pro Alloy means its now all straight and ALOT stronger than ever though. Its FULLY prepped and ready for some SERIOUS abuse and power at the back now
That reminds me.... I need to pay them
WHOOOPSY!

I wanted Porsche Carrera white. Which is what they paint the GT2's and GT3's in.... one coz it sounds cool and secondly because I know it looks good with Carbon parts and black bits and bobs
but the body shop reckon it would soon look shite as it would chip quickly?
So he recommended the one its painted in now... says its much tougher and almost exactly the same shade as what I wanted.
Its certainly not Ford diamond white anyway... as thats actually closer to brown!

Code for "we've got a boat load of white paint meant for planes or lorries or something that's blocking up the stores. It would look much better if we sell you some of that. Plus as you know, being the owner of two Porsches, Porsche paint is like a delicate flower..."
Lee "you're right, I was doing 205mph up the M11 the other day and went past a lorry carrying bricks. One of them fell off and took a small chip out of my front bumper... rubbish that Porsche paint"

I'm seriously considering doing that mod on my bonnet as well now I'fe seen how good it is on Polly's - I think I#d round the ends of the cuts though. Does the bonnet stay quite tough after cutting or does it get a bit flexi?
In the meantime, I was wooed by some carbon fibre yesterday:-
Wonder if it will arrive in time to fit for the Lancs Westy meet tomorrow?

Was talking last night.... and we were wondering if 750bhp in a 600kg car is 'slightly' too much for a car that gets used alot for afterwork evening and sunday morning country lane blasts??
Martoon thinks soo... but he is old and ghey he thinks and I quote 'you will kill yourself you mad cunt'
Bet chip thinks its an 'adequate' power figure

I LOVE driving my Westy on the road. Some awesome country roads where I live and it just makes you feel VERY alive and exhilerated driving down there....
and as I have said to you before. I love other people driving it! and thats just a no-no with a sequential box
