I do miss it. Sadly though... it NEEDED most this work doing really.
I am BRUTAL with it... and it had taken its toll on the chassis.
and whilst it was all apart... it made sense to smarten it up as it was a tatty old thing on outside. and its a FAR FAR from tatty old thing underneath and spec wise now. So wanted it to look the part!
Will all be worth it when its done
Cant see it needing anything for a LOOOONG while after this.
Will just be me learning to drive it properly.

I guess having a 996 turbo with aircon in some small way helps him to cope
good work! any pics?
Excuse the rubbish phone pictures but they are the only recent ones I have. Decent pictures are of it when it still had 17" wheels.
Loved reading your thread here - looking forward to seeing what you can do with it and what it turns out like on the track.

You can have a drive on track mate.
or come over one evening and have a go on the road.
Its a remarkably civilsied and fun road car for cruising around the lanes. Its just as much fun going slowly as it is fast. 99% of the time though I seem to engage maximum attack mode...

I really like the louvres cut into the bonnet - debating doing something similar on mine.
Not sure if I have the bollocks to start cutting the GRP though!

I wanted Porsche Carrera white. Which is what they paint the GT2's and GT3's in.... one coz it sounds cool and secondly because I know it looks good with Carbon parts and black bits and bobs
but the body shop reckon it would soon look shite as it would chip quickly?
So he recommended the one its painted in now... says its much tougher and almost exactly the same shade as what I wanted.
Its certainly not Ford diamond white anyway... as thats actually closer to brown!

who did the cut on the bonnet, super job
Nicely done... new Radtec rad arrived for mine today... however this may have to be considered on the exhaust side if this doesn't sort my heating issues..

What heating issues are you having on yours?

There a massive thread, that has been hijacked on WSCC. was running the polo rad, but just changed to the Radtec one... With a TD on wednesday I am just thinking vent the bonnet to stop the worry of 115deg+ temps again and the distraction of this on track. (not that I am really expecting to see them with the new rad, just belt and braces really)
