I still maintain, this is probably one of the best first car's for a person I've ever seen. Has all thr right parts, insurance friendly and a small but very clean and funky looking engine.
Nice one Jim, respect!

Easily the best looking 'modern' ford. The mk5 3 door was just 100% perfect style-wise, nothing made after comes close.
The red and black colour scheme is also unbeatable.
I'll be getting one of these to replace the ecrapse as soon as the opp arises.

Well actually mate, it was a pile of crap design wise. Rusted in probably every section you looked at. But I do agree with you, the Escort Cosworth, which is closest described as the MK5a, is probably the best looking thing ever, well ahead of its time.

You need to look on an XR3i or RS2000 or a MK5b Si if you can find one, they all have the right strips
Yeah, still broken, don't know what the problem is. Bought some new plugs but at uni so got no feeler guages to gap em Been told it might be the TPS though

Always wanted to turbo a 1.4, thought it would be well funny!

Not yet, been too busy with uni this week tbh.
Gonna have a crack over the weekend, see if I can find the problem. Few people have said TPS. Not sure why it would cause it, but they said they were suffering the same symptoms, so as got a spare one I spose it couldn't hurt!
If not, I'm sure a hammer may help
