Exclamation last cry for help

i knocked the mirror of my fiesta off the metal holding bit a few weeks back, and was just wondering how the hell i get it fixed. when i try and push it back on it just slides the casing around a bit. its all still attached, but not cliped on properly. can anyone help. i have a few pics but not sure how to upload them.
any help will be apreciated

What year Fiesta is it? If it's a mk3 they're shite anyway and the mk4's are a direct swap.

not necessarely, mk 3.5's are a straight swap, mk3's need a bit of cutting, or if you are my brother, 3 hours with a very course and blunt wood file!

the wing mirror is held to the door by 3? screws from inside, the screws are behind the backing plate on the inside of the door although i can't remember how you remove the backing plate

if the mirror is knakered just go to a scrappy and get a new one for a fiver, they aren't worth messing with

If you're still stuck, post some pictures up mate, i'm sure someone can help.
