Just another quick update, as the chassis rails are so bad on the sapphire and nobody makes a replacement panel, there is no other choice than to cut a decent set out of another car in good condition. After trawling through a local scrap yard i found this MINT sierra, the chassis rails are Solid, so this will be the donor car! This sierra can now be proud knowing it's bringing a Cossie back to life!
Pics are from my phone!

Went to the bodyshop tonight after work to do some small jobs, i had to remove the fuel filler car, rear qtr vents and cut the fuel tank off! Things seem to be cracking on as you can see from the pics but theres plenty more to come.

Update is, the back end hasn't been cut out of the donor car yet but i keep hassling the scrap yard owner every weekend and he has actually started cutting it out, but not as fast as i would like!
The car itself is waiting for a rather slow sandblaster to do some bits!
So nothing new has occured, yet again always getting fucked about by unreliable people. Will update as soon as anything new happens.

Only just seen this, as said respect for u for doin it mate!!! and u made the right choice not reshelling it as it wont be a rare black RWD cossie if u had!!!!
Unfortunatly thou bodyshops with a long term project like that can be unrelaible. You have to have small jobs coming in to pay the bills while stuff like that is goin on and unfortunatly as you have found can take longer than u hoped/wanted
