Very small update that is my engine is being prepared to be put in so it's on my stand, it's an engine i got from a member on PF, thanks Swerv.
It's a long studded 200, light blues, L8, T34 .63, standard head and cams. I believe it was built by A1 Rally sport.
It's on the stand so i can fit a cambelt, water pump and new rocker caver before i put it in.

At the moment very slow, since the last pics of it in the bodyshop, nothing has been done! I'm being held back by 2 things, the sandblaster won't give an answer as to when he can do the underneath of the car and the scrap yard still havn't cut the rear chassis sections out of the donor sierra! So i'm getting hacked off! I'm keeping myself busy by refurbishing my rear beam which i'll put pics of up when it's finished.

I've already got a petrol angle grinder in my garage and i did think of that aswell, if it's not done this weekend i'm gonna ask if i can do it myself! Trouble is, it should by rights cost me fook all as he said it'd be Ł40 for it and that was just labour he weren't gonna charge for the scrap! Bet he'll want some cash still!

Yes, the sandblasting has now been done, had to change blasters and it's cost me a bit more but at least it's been done! I'll get the pics up of the parts sandblasted this week. The donor car is gonna be hacked up this week aswell. My rear beam is almost finished so things are going ok!

Small update:
I had alot of the rear axle sandblasted in preperation for restoration, here is one of the Outer driveshaft ends and unfortunately one of the boltholes is ovaled where the bolt has obviously been loose at some point, for quite some time. I didn't notice this until i had painted it and it stood out more. Not a major issue though as Paul at North Yorks RS spares is sorting me out with a new one.
Not a major update i know but something to look at!

Ok, small update is that iv'e put most of the rear beam together. I've had all the parts Sandblasted and primed i then hand painted them with Hammerite paint. I have pressed Brand new bearings into the hubs, I fitted ploybushes all round, My back plate/disc splash guards were rotten and as you can no longer get them from Ford i asked Lee @ Fusion to make me some, as you can see he did a spot on job so thanks very much Lee. I bought NEW Caliper carriers from Ford and NEW Exchange calipers, I then fitted the Pagid discs and Ferodo Fast road pads. All nuts and bolts have been replaced also! Still to come are the new Antiroll bar links and Reco Driveshafts and refurb'd Diff!
Hope you all like!

WOW looks real good!! I have just sent lee an PM Did your calipers come in silver or did you paint them?
Very impressive, love the colors.
Out of interest how much did it cost to replace all the bolts etc?

Chops i painted them silver, I'll have a look at all my invoices and total it up, but it also helps that i'm a mechanic and we've got loads of nuts and bolts at work that i'm allowed to take. The Ford ones were the 4 trailing arm bolts and the hub bolts, i'll get the prices but t wasn't alot.
