Well i made it to FITP, breaking only a gearbox mount and knocking my tracking out thanks to the UK's wonderful roads
then disaster struck and my car cut out whilst it was sat idling, it wouldn't restart, and the fuel pump wasn't priming.
borrowed a multimeter from TOTD and confirmed the pump had shat its pants - after having been used for around 300miles from brand new
I'll be taking that up with the manufacturer.
thus
and home on the recovery truck it went
anyway, took the tank off today covered myself in petrol, modified the pump wiring hole to be a pump / sender removal hole.
got an rs2000 pump coming tomorrow morning so after my job interview tomorrow morning I'll get back on things and get it going again... bloody fords
I still smell of petrol and i had my overalls on

yesterday's work
Today did a few bits, put the new wheels on took it off axle stands put the coil packs and intake back on and got it out the garage
Also started to take the tar up off the floor have a huge blister on the palm of my hand
next few days I'll be cracking on with:
painting the morettes, grille and splitter
taking the rest of the tar up
perhaps fitting some of the guages I've had for the last two years
today
Remembered why i love this colour while the sun was shining, looks good despite needing a clean
More sound proofing came up today - but not without a fight
also removed the patch on the roof after I binned this heavy fecker:
i was going to replace it with a carbon fibre plate rivited on but carbon isn't flexible enough so it'll be a piece of painted aluminium
Also for the first time in a couple of years i got the rattle cans out and colour coded my morrettes and smooth cosworth grill
and a front shot, the grille is only half fitted and a bit wonky but its going to look hard

would riveting a panel where the sunroof was be a good enough seal? Could water seap in the gaps or will there not be a gap?
I was planning on doing something like that myself but not found the courage yet lol.

> turbo engine seems unlikely, you don't need much power to go round a track quickly. The arch extension were made for me by fibresports, they are custom cyclone arches made extra wide afaik they still have the moulds.
>> The sunroof panel will be covered with an alloy plate which will be sealed with tigerseal or similar the rivits will just be to make it easier.
>>> hell i'll sell yoiu the whole car if you like it that much

So today I bought this:
looks like a big pile of scrap interior, but its not:
so I've put them in but had some trouble with the seat belts and a few other bits so they'll have to come out again soon
