fuck knows I want something quick, not massively powered and good handling....

I thought a low powered GTiR might be that LOL! I was expecting box probs, but with the headgasket, shims, water pump, door, the glass, the brakes, the manifold gaskets, 2 radiators, the radio, the boot jamming, the alarm going off when driving.....

Just takes the piss abit dont it

Any suggestions??

Si, dunno mate tbh, just want gone. make an offer mate

S14a or MR2 Turbo and you cant go wrong.

Id prob choose S14a just as its a bit less gay looking and bit easier to work on, even if MR2 Turbos can be made stupidly fast even easier.

Even I would say S14 too.

Proper bargain at the moment, and such a good car for it too.

Wouldn't say the MR2 was quite that gay, although the 17s make it look far more manly.

All of them up to the 5 suffer with crank walk, but in my opinion is over hyped. Ive had mine for nearly 2 years now, well over 100k miles, never had a rebuild (although i have a spare engine being done now) and i completely rape the thing every time i drive it (every day) And the only problem i have ever had was a notchy gearbox, easily sorted.

Sold that a couple of years back because I was desperiate (house deposit) Ł3200 I was gutted!
It was a Rev3turbo I traded my RS in for it, it was runing 1.2bar with a few mods and I used it everyday and abused it at the weekends with no problems.
I'd reccomend one to anyone, but I'm guessing its a S14 you've bought?

Right, Update : I had planned on selling this heap of shit, But a job may have come up, and its very well paid, So once I've sorted a bit of debt, I've decided to keep the car and get it how I want it....

Bit of a pisser, but this happened ages ago and seeing as I haven't been able to work on the car because of my hand and being away from home I'm not that bothered by it. Was down to me, being tired and working on the car late, shit happens I guess! Looks like an old crack, but its not, just greasy now due to being handled a few times

Box is in the car and mated up to engine, but the engine bay still needs finishing putting back together...

I'm going to use this box just to get it running again for MOT/Tax, By no means using it for everyday, So don't worry.. Plus the other box needs a strip down and rebuild, which will happen shortly and why I haven't swapped them back.

From memory, this is all that's needed doing, and hopefully now I'm out of cast, Providing on work, I may get them done lol
  • Water pipes fitted
  • Inlet manifold fitted
  • Boost pipes fitted
  • Fit breather
  • Exhaust fitted
  • Loom connected back up
  • A Sensor wired back up
  • Full nut/bolt check
  • Connect prop back up
  • Connect gear linkage
  • Gearbox/transfer fluids
  • Reroute battery wiring
  • Bumper back on properly
  • Bleed system
  • Power steering fluid (had a little accident)
  • A fucking good clean inside out
  • MOT/Tax

Good luck with it.

You've already got a decent car which is quick, handles well
and fun. So isn't such a bad idea to keep it after all.
