St170 mount and make it fit the drivers side inner wing
Then make up a bracket to attach the gearbox to the inner wing on n/s
Progress is slow as haven't got a job after uni and still paying rent/saving for a ring trip and ford fair.
I've started prepping the inner wings although this is a lot more time consuming than I first anticipated. Will get some pics of me trying to get the old engine mount out at the weekend but ive destroyed a spot weld drill so far and it hasn't even gone through one weld.

Thanks for kind words guys. Got employment a little while ago but concetrating on clearing debts at the moment.
I've been offered some silvertop wiseco pistons and forged rods(low comp) im just trying to establish if they will fit in the st170 engine without any issue(ive got a post on here already). If so I will sell off a few n/a bits ive acquired to get the mounts made.
I've got access to a fiesta centre mount but been told it's not the best way of doing it.For now if its strong enough for 250 hp then I will make one up at work, then its a case of lining everything up to make the gearbox mount.
For getting the engine in the right place I was thinking of fitting this engine mount by welding in place, bolt the engine to it(with a modified cvh mount) and then get the gearbox flat to the point where a piece of string sits fairly level both in the x and y plane then make up the gearbox mount. if anyone thinks that isn't brilliant let me know.
Captaintightpants built that matt black mk1 featured in fast ford and he used the st170 mount chopped into the inner wing. Would that be a far better way of doing things does anyone reckon.
I picked up my new bonnet a little while ago. It's got cool louvres and i think looks brilliant. Will get a picture up of that for people to see.
