cool project, i wanna fit a 4valve 4.6 in my mustang 1 day intead of the 3.8 v6 in it now. as for charging this engine im thinking theres no way ur gonna fit a super charger on top the engine or to the side if ya go for a pro charger, as for turbos ud probly be best off reversing your manifolds and having 1 single big turbo at the front of the engine fed by both manifolds, im sure ya will find some space tho, is it a t56 gearbox? also what diff you got or gonna use?

have got bassani ceramic coated performance manifolds, will get running then will make my mind up what route i will go supercharger or turbo not sure yet
MG only used the 2v 4.6 (260hp) and the 4v 4.6's(320hp) in there programs, We've actually done a couple of Kenne Bell supercharger kits on the MG ZT260 making 410hp on stock internals.

A twin screw charger wont be effected by the space you have as the stock intake will go. I'm currently building a single turbo 5.4 32v for my Lightning.
Anyway looks great in there...... I have a spare cobra engine hmmm need and escort now!! ha ha

The MG ZT range used the 2v version rated at 260, I think the 4v engines went into the SVR.

That engine does look really bulky, a Chevy LS is much more compact.

my last v8 one was perfect on track and road, and you could hold it sideways when ever you wanted, it made round aboutsgreat for drifting

but in wet it would spin up in 5 gear but it was so easy to control,
Sounds good, being able to hang a car like that properly would be awesome!

Can't believe how well the Cobra motor fits in there, kinda makes me rethink my own setup as I can get the Cobra motors here for peanuts... Sweet project!

Finally someone has the light has trown out the outdated yunk yb cosworth engine for a proper
engine that will hopefully won't break and you can lots of power from a v8 but if was my engine i would rather turbo it than supercharge it.
Will you keep it 4x4 or it will be rwd ?

great work tim ,

cars looking good one thing about the v8 it will last for yrs unlike the yb's that will brun out after 10k race miles lol

v8 even with 500bhp has only 62.5 bhp per pot nothing at all no stress what so ever i bet that engine even with 500+ will easy do 40k race miles not road miles

the also great thing with the V8's is the torque from low rmp you can beat it

great work tim
