A "small" update ;-)
Just at fast update on my little project...
Its been a year since my last update. But due to a new job and a lot of overtime - not much has happened on the S2 :-(
But SOME progress has been made he he...
Here is a short spec list on the engine so far:
2 litre Zetec silvertop bottom end - Fully balanced with HD bearings and ARP bolts all over
Focus Rs pistons and rods
Cometic ZVH headgasket
EFI head - fully custumized to my needs by myself
... And partly thumbs up from SiTech
Newman 200 ft double valve springs
Newman ZVH camshaft. (not purchased yet - looking for other specs than the standard one)
Kent cams Solid lifters
Brian Hansen Tubular manifold
Garret GT2860Rs
MDS Coil
Magnacor cables
OMEX 600 Ecu
Cosworth 3" Group A filter
Helix 4 paddle clutch
Etc etc etc... Forgotten a lot of the parts
Hoping for a solid 300 bhp and around 400 Nm
The first pictures of the engine is only from a brief testfitting. This weekend i am beginning the engine assembly...

Unfornunately one of the used Focus Rs rods was faulty. So i has not come around putting the pistons and rods in yet :-( :-(
So guess I'll have to wait a bit for a new/used rod.... ANYBODY GOT ONE???????????

to find a solid rst shell like yours over here its impossible, well for under £2k anyway! most are rotten 
Looks awesome now though on the rs7s and will be perfect with that zvh inside

A small update :-)
Well I have to put theese pictures up for you to see .
Just finished painting the head, gearbox and a few other aluminium parts.
After a little research i found out what kind of primer to use for alloy. Due to the heat from the engine i was adwised to use "Wash primer" for this project. (thats the yellow stuff on the pics)...
And suddenly it all turned into mat black
I also pretty much finished on assembly of the block (2 litre Zetec with Focus Rs pistons and Rods)
And with the head on

3,5 years gone by.... Engine and box fitted!!! :-)
Not much to say right now. Enjoy the pics
First of all. Rs Turbo meeting in denmark at its biggest ever he he
And then - Gearbox time. Uprated Ib5 box with a S2 Lsd and big bearings. Fully rebuilt and painted by myself.
Homemade cambelt cover - just needs some welding
Then the car was ready for some brakes, engine and gearbox
Then i got around fitting my 4 paddle Helix Clutch and the engine.
Like a glove
Fully rebuilt driveshafts - new joints, powdercoated etc.
On its wheels again after a good weekend!!
