This weekend, I wasn't able to do what I planed... First, we had to reposition the shell on the jig, and today I felt really bad so I just finished the guide for the frontaxle and the rear axle is nearly finished...
This week I orders a new cage and the Pro Alloy RS500 intercooler should arrive the upcoming days...

So, after I lost quite a lot of time last weekend, I was able to speed up this weekend... So I finished the centering of the axles an welded everything to jig. Also all important point like stabilisator- gearbox- and beammountings are welded to the jig...
With that, I am able to built in a cossi in nearly every car I want to... It doesn't matter wether I take the floor pan or I weld custom brackets...
Ok, so I took off the roof and the rear part of the shell... I don't need them anymore...
I hope that next weekend I can cut everything so that maybe I can put the shell over the Sierra floor, just to see how everything fits...
That's it... new updates bexte weekend...

Yes it is... but it's worth it ![Wink](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
So the Sierra floorpan is ready. I cut away everything I didn't need anymore. We tried to measure out where to place the cuttings. Due tuo the jig, I can place quite exact the cuttings, but I still left a little more metal, just to be sure. Next weekend I will cut out the floorpan of the MK3 and put the shell on the Sierra floor... and then alot of modifying...
But I am quite confident that everything will fit perfectly

your preperational work is outstanding.
fabricating mounts and brackets just to keep the car correctly aligned before you even start fabricating the actual shell for the cossie running gear.
its definatly going to be a car to keep an eye on.
full credit to you mate

Thanx Kelv...
I hope all the work is worth it
This weekend I did a lot of drilling and cutting... a lot of metal which hast to be romeoved or bended. But in the end, the shell is nearly at it's final position... just a few modification on the rear and front, and then everything should fit perfectly.

I'll keep you up to date...
Cheers
Cyril

Thanx alot everybody... I appreciate your comments and be sure I keep you always up to date...
@BRIGSPORT
No, I don't take the rear from the estate.
First, the shock-absorbers are at a complette different place, so for those, who wants to take the complete floor pan, should take the 4x4 Sierra/Saphire limousine.
I will make my own custom fixation of the rear axle. The reason for this: It's less work then welding in the complete floor pan (I hope so
)
Nevertheless... Why do you want to weld in the floor from a Sierra in a MK1 Escort? It is already RWD! And to convert it to 4x4, you dont need to weeld anything from the Sierra, there are better and easier solutions...
Cheers
