I'm just back from our lasercutting company...

the guides for centering the axles...

New bushes for the Escort... the old ones were too damaged...

@BIG.GEOFF.H: Why you're selling? You have a new project in your mind?

@mk2rstaff & Twins: Thanx... I'll do my very best...

Next little Update...

I finished to center the axles on the Escort. I threw out the spare wheel recess and weld in some bars in order to reinforce the shell...

I have to measure some few things and then the Sierra will come back on the jig...

Cheers

So far Mark ( www.ST2000.de )

**now for our english guys!**
nice to see the project starting and i want to have a look at it.

I must take some welding lessens by him he is such a god mechanice..

Cheers Mark ...

It's quite a long time ago we talked together... I hope everything's fine and your freaking Escort ST is running well!

Thanx for you comments, makes me a little bit blush

You're everytime welcome... Just give me a call when you're back from South Africa.

So, have some beautyful days over there... hear from you soon!

Cheers... Cyril...

Next little update...

this weekend I finished the guides for the axles. It was quite tricky, but finallky I'm very satisfied with the result. Further, I weld in a kind of cage to reinforce the shell when the floor pan is out...

Next weekend, the Sierra will come back on the jig, fixed and then seperate the shell from the floor pan...

Yeah... you're right... I planed the conversion months ago... and unfortunatly I still have sleepless nights...
After each step I sit down in my little camping chair and think, if everything important is done and how to solve all little problems... Are all my ideas really 100% right, or do I have a little error in my thoughts...

I am not a professional, so I think better 2 or 3 times more instead of making errors...

Well, this week end I took off the MK3 of the jig...

I modified a little bit the jig with another guide...

I put back the Sierra on the jig... It took quite a long time until the Shell was perfectly placed, but everything looks fine... I fixed it so that it can't move anymore...

So... I keep you up to date...
